Ranger Archive

Hi. I just wanted to mention something real quick. I've been playing for about a year now and during that time I mastered a few professions here and there and spent lots of time lurking around the appropriate profession boards. I noticed that most of these boards were full of all sorts of annoying people generally flaming each other for this or that. Throughout my game play, I spent lots of time working on the Hero of Tatooine quests and knocked them all out pretty quickly, except for the stinking pirates. (Man, I really came to hate those guys). When the re-spec hit, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try out Ranger, since I had enjoyed mastering Scout a while back. Wouldn’t ya know it, my first week as Ranger, I finally found the damned pirates and completed the quests. While playing my new Ranger, I spent more time lurking around these here Ranger boards. I noticed that it was quite different from all of the other boards, in that there was definitely a type of camaraderie here that I did not see anywhere else. After completing the Hero quests, I began spending more time out in the wilderness actually trying to get to know some of the creatures. I actually had fun in the game again and this was a welcome break since I had spent the last month or so before the CU doing the FS grind (which I have now put on hold indefinitely)

Anyway, I must stop my ramblings. In short, I can now say that I am going to be a permanent Ranger and am now going to work on mastering Rifleman to go with it. I just wanted to thank all you Rangers for generally just being pretty cool people. I really dig the community here and I hope that I can be welcomed into it as my knowledge of the profession increases.

its been said once or twice.... rangers area bit odd, but we have fun here.

take a seat by the campfire, have some beer... munch on a riceball, make some monkey, watch out for the leexard, the punch bowl is not for swimming, and for god's sake... stay away from the shauputs.!

I just make 3 million credits ofoff Corellian critter meat from a single buyer. Its gonna be a long while before I actually *need* cash again. :-)

Despite the negative hype, the post-CU world is turning out to be very Ranger-friendly (Im actually finding it worth while to make factory runs of camo and traps now). I was hsocked to find myself with a full 12 expirimentation points for camo kit quantity expiramentations (hehe my camo kits are 13 uses per kit with that)

Even considering making a Camo-buff bot and stationing him on Dathomir for the folks making the trip to the Village.
