Thread: Traps not sticking as much?

Have you noticed that traps do not seem to be landing as freequently lately? As a master ranger, I was landing them maybe 1 out of 4 throws on level 60 critters on Kashyyyk. I had about the same luck on level 80 mission lairs on Naboo. It was really bad on the webweaver trail where things like to warp and aggro from 150m away. I'd throw a trap, it wouldn't land, and then 3 webweavers would warp onto me (including the 1 that DIDN'T have a trap hit) and have snack on my scrawny Ranger butt.
It feels like (so I may be wrong) that in the last few days the rate of landing traps has gotten significantly worse. As a Master Ranger, all I've got to say - What the Frack?!
There were some notes about this over in the scout boards, but I wanted some ranger discussion.

I haven't noticed a difference and neither has the gorax population. Those poor fellas keep falling like little girls with skinned knees when I'm around.

My trapping success seems to come in bursts. I will have 100% success for a few days then I will fail 3 in a row and get stomped on. I have a +14 trapping CA too which appears to make NO difference.

You are not dreaming. Granted I was hunting GDK but I had to use 8 traps just to get three to stick consecutively. I just shrugged it off to the fact that I was hunting GDK.
Then I got a call from my guildleader to see if I could assist some newrecruitsin grinding. Headed to Dant to kill bols and it wasn't hitting on them either. I too am a master ranger and have been so for quite some time. I cant remember a time when I was pulling such a low hit rate. I think this is the Devs attempt to toast our pop tarts. I have found that if I don't hit with them three in a row they simply are not as effective.
Anyway, that's my two cents....

It seems to be just a random thing, most days almost all traps will stick and then one day hardly any will stick. Then the day after that back to sticking again. One day, I was so disgusted, I checked to makes sure I was still Master Ranger, and hadn't been kicked down to Novice Scout or something. It's like you log on and your karma is low or something lol.

I've noticed the same thing. Night before last, I was lucky if 1/4 of my traps stuck on cl78-82 tusk cats. I was rockin' the dweezel, too. About 1/3 were sticking on gorax last night, no dweezel.
