Thread: So, now we are supplying camo kits to everybody....
I REALLY want to be able to find avian on Talus mission terms. I know it's not "rangery", but I didn't make talus kits pre-cu and it's just as bad post-cu.
I also cleared out the Fynock cave. The rare Devil Gulginaws that used to be the Talus avian holy grail now seem to drop less also
i refuse to sell cammo myself. not even to my own guild. for
1. its an issue of principal with me
2. cammo doesn't even work well enough to justify going through all the trouble.
Do you use it yourself? I believe it'sstill an issue as there really is no reason for Talus alone to have such PITA requirementsfor kits over all the other planets.

I have given a few crates to some of my guildies who are helping the rebels in the GCW by taking down bases. I told them the camo was free as long as they gave me feedback on how it worked. The 3 people in my guild who did this all told me the camo kits were incredible and made a HUGE difference. Just thought I'd share this since I heard quite different on your second point.
To your first point... I like crafting, I like running a business, and I really like the niche role of ranger crafting and ranger business. I've got no issues with selling camo.
. Besides most of the people that buy your camo are rangers/ranger-alts anyways right?

Heh, that WAS true, but now more people are buying camo kits. I used to sell them cheap b/c it was just my ranger friends buying stuff. Now that it's an open market, my prices have been jacked up to be more in line with other craftables. That's why I told you last night, if YOU need camo, come and see me
Traps/clothes/food/camps etc.... are still dirt cheap though.
well, since grey cons no longer aggro, for me, that was a bigger slap in the face than everyone getting cammo. now everyone has foolproof maskscent. i really dont find any need for cammo myself. not yet. but, i suppose i'll make some up and test it out. and let non rangers test it a little.
but right now, i'm too wrapped up in quests and new content to harvest for money or collect massive amounts of cammo resources.
but i do have a couple pre-cu cammo kits laying around, i'll use them and see what happens.

FYI, stalker type creatures are still attacking even if they con grey. You just have to wait a while, in the same place. Also, with camoflauge, as a master ranger, I've had a CL 10 Giant Gubbur attack me. It's safe to say that they aren't working as intended.
However, I have had success with them in the opposite faction aligned planets when I'm combatant.

1. yeah, that's the problem, i know that when it does break, its instant aggro. as with maskscent seems like. kinda stupid. if it breaks then the creature should just go into stalking mode.
2. well, being as my imp guild is pretty heavy into the GCW, if cammo does work on NPCs, then I may just make some up for that purpose, but we'll have to see. need to do some testing.
