Thread: Time to figure out exactly how pop-tarts break

I use a pet when hunting and the only time my pet dies is if I send it in first or another MOB aggros in the middle of the attack.
I have sent in a CL1 freshly bio-engineered Razor cat to chew on a Krayt and it lived as long as I had the aggro first and the Krayt snared.
When my cat has died it was because of a second aggro or me not getting the aggro first before sending the cat in.
Matte of fact I have a print screen of my Cat on the first kill. The cat is smaller than my boots.
I haven't used them with a group, and I don't have any pets, but I've had them break when i've gotten too close -- usually because I'm running from one of their friends.

When hunting solo I routinely use my razor cat as an additional source of damage.
What I do is snare the Krayt.
Shoot the krayt so I have the aggro.
Send in the cat while I continue to shoot the Krayt.
My first razor Cat Sparky hit for 17-33 damage. My New razor cat Sparky Jr. Hits for 33 and its only a CL5 right now.
So I group with my cat live it back out of range and aggro. Give it the stay command.
Once I have aggro and snared the Krayt I give the cat the attack command.
Rinse and repeat for each Krayt. I have found this doesn't work so well for sat Gurks since gurks like to group aggro and from time to time the Cat get attacked instead of me from another gurk. besides you don't really need the cat for gurks.
What I did was tell a MBE to make me a CL10 razor cat with the best attack and damage output she could. I didn't care about HAM or defense just attack and damage output.

i use a probot named agrobot to pull the kryats
i tell the bot to attack then follow me multiple kryats agro the bot and incap it. i choose my kryat and feedit some poptarts while the others leave it to its demise. and i proceed to slaughter the kryat. though sometimes agrobots survives and helps me kill the kryat if its by itself.
much safer way: draw the krayt with a trap (any kind). It won't aggro the surrounding krayts, and your probot can start shooting AFTER you root it, meaning the creature dies more quickly.
By the way, the other focus thread on P-Darts contains my thesis on the underlying cause of many of the breaks in the perma-root effect.
you know ....about the time we have all the ends and outs of this bug figured out......that is when they will come And FIX it....lol
thats timing for you....the irony
