Thread: Think happy thoughts...
Fingers crossed, and thanks for the support. It's funny, we recently had a jedi post a support thread here, and it was well-received. The same guy posted a similar thread on the jedi forum calling for general support of the neglected professions, and it quickly (and unsurprisingly) went downhill.
Whenever something good happens for smuggler, ranger, CH, or squad leader (it's a toss-up as to which of these stepchildren's headsare more red at any given time), the general feelings expressed by the other three are usually genuine happiness and sincere felicitations. Huh, friendships based on empathy and actual good will-- quite the anomaly in the land of SWG.
Thanks again for the well-wishing-- it is appreciated.

Then Smugglers would still like to smuggle, Entertainers aren't very useful, and Squad Leaders aren't usually leading. Then there's another expansion that's due out, we haven't had a new dungeon since the DWB (if you don't count Kashyyyk,) and of course all the jedi will quit the game if they don't get an FRS before Rangers get noticed. While we all appreciate the support from people, I just don't hold out hope that we'll be in the pipeline anytime soon.
to the Original Poster, i especially like that you took the time to see what the general opinion is about skill point costs. alot of people (non-Rangers) think that we shouldn't have to master scout in order to be a ranger, but we realize that mastering scout is VITAL to the role of a Ranger, and all we're looking for from the devs is a justification of the skill cost, by giving us working abilities.
also, don't forget about the Tailors. yes, we like to fued with them but we tailors haven't been able to make BE clothing since publish 18, and that is a HUGE part of most tailors' incomes. and the armorsmiths can't add their health enhancements to armor (well they can add it, but it doesn't work).
personally, i'm thrilled at the new dev focus on bug fixes over new content. it's much better to build new content on a bug-free (now there's some optimism for you) environment, than ot implement new content on top of a borked system.
