Thread: Profession Question: Ranger with Carbines? or Rifles?

The major draw back in MBH is the lack of stopping and snare shots.
You get one knockdown. Even coupled with dizzy it lasts maybe two shots.

Hey Hey..I agree with you totally JB on the fact that MBH does not get a stopping shot or snare. However PH-darts are a type of
snare and if the devs would just fix adhesive mesh we would have a root. Root breaks on damage? Right. Don't forget the
bleed with MBH, i know its small but its a bleed nonetheless. Duelsstance is also nice to have at the end of a fight when your
health is low. Mrifle certainly does more damage and Mcarb is faster. MPH has scatter pistol which is pretty fast, Photon
carbine whichlooks cool, and laser rifle. If i had to choose between Mrifle and Mcarb I would go Mrifle, high damage great range,
if you get the cyborg arms you can increase you range to 80 I think. If the devs implement a min range i would switch to Mcarb. I
am a Mranger/ MPH and i love it, but to each its own. It really comes down to what do you want to do, all that matter is that you
have fun. With the 18 skill points i have freed up I plan to go force sensitive..BUT I WILL NEVER BE A JEDI..extra defense and
extraspeed toped with improves scout skills.
Maybe 4-2-4-4 Ranger MBH who knows it'll be a while anyways lol. I'm in no hurry to grind jedi

Ilike both, butI prefer rifles because Ican stack my P-dart snare with my knee cap shot. slows em down so much its almost a root.
I've played as a Master Ranger/Master Carbineer for ages now and after the CU it's pretty fun. People still solo but the game has shifted towards groups and Carbineers shine in a group.
Only drawback are the AoE specials in PvE. Groups usually don't fight anything you'd want to hit with an AoE attack. PvP is another thing though
I'm trying out BH at the moment, not because it's more powerful than Carbineer but because of the additional content ( Jedi hunting, BH marks etc. ) and the fact that I can max 3 lines of weapon XP for the village.
Once Rangers get some love, I'll run straight back to Master Ranger/Master Carbineer.
