When the Combat Upgrade conversion took place, there was mass hysteria. People were saying that it would be a terrible change. And yet, certain professions would become more preferable after this change, and certain items would change to become necessary within this new phase of SWG. Some foods changed, armor lost a lot of the effectiveness as it once had, along with Doctor buffs. However, this was meant for people to take into consideration the importance of tactics when fighting an enemy.

How are we supposed to be able to use tactics, when the Scout AoE traps do not function as AoE traps, when half of the trapping line of Ranger was removed, yes removed 3 months ago and has not even been commented on, when Camps lost their usefulness (who am I kidding? they were always useless,) when our Camoflauge was broken at the same time as /Rescue because the Devs manipulated the AI with the introduction of a "hate" system and didn't even take into consideration the concealment that did not remove you from the radar (*cough* /conceal *cough* /forcecloak *cough) and therefore have usefulness in PvP and therefore needed to be addressed for balance issues, when the action value of creatures doesn't even matter, when damaging traps that specifically cannot kill don't even deal damage, when traps are too slow to matter very much except for the P-Darts, when the only Root trap, still in the Scout trees, does not function at all, when Doctors and Combat Medics get combat worthiness with their additional combat modifiers and yet we are still left out to dry with the +10 defenses that every single profession, including Master Musician, had before the CU.

How can we go untouched for so long? Camoflauge, woo freakin' hoo, is going to finally be at the same level (maybe) with the Combat Level system of Aggro avoidance. How much you wanna bet that is in part to the people who will use it other than Rangers? "If it breaks, themobwill only attack within the appropriate range for your level difference," which implies that a Camo modifier is still necessary, but that is still uncertain it seems. What happened to TH stating "any concealment effect of camoflauge other than against creatures is merely a glitch?" Oh, I guess it's officially more useful when everyone else can use it.

Why can't traps be used with pass-through assist? Why don't we have something to chew on until our revamp? Oh, wait that's right, we aren't getting a revamp, and I don't think we will be getting anything at all at this "bug fixes will now come first" rate. Who here thinks that the Devs will implement anything new? If they even cared, they would probably just change existing abilities. I would rather them remove /Rescue right now that keep lying about being able to use it by leaving it in our trapping tree. We all know there isn't a way we will ever get it back, since someone would exploit it and it'd just end up getting removed anyways.

We must be too overpowered as it is to get radar / visual concealment, and root traps, and ground-placeable traps. Right now, I'm feeling like an organic extension of the surveying line of Artisan who can track, because for some reason as a Master Ranger I miss very frequently with my traps against CL 81 Bols. With Dweezle, and my +25 Ys'Rak, I have an accuracy of 4/5 against creatures equal to my level and below my level. Why? Why can't this meager ability even work? I mean, it's not like it was useful pre-CU, but apparently it was in the aspect of use in PvP. Just, not for us. Nope. They couldn't even make Creature Harvesting tapes work for crying out loud. Was that our gimme? Attachments?!

Why do we even have camps anymore? Anyone? Requisitioning items at the HTFB isn't even necessary, it's just a time saver. The other camps all do the same thing, because who among us can't find a Doc to heal our wounds? In the amount of time it would take for the camps to heal our wounds, we could have probably found 10 Docs in starports throughout the galaxy.

"Acting" like a Ranger isn't always enough. I am sick of looking at these other professions taking down creatures much quicker than what the Devs have clearly marked as a creature-centric profession. Do you think they would even listen to us for considering PvP or even PvE? Because right now, our only PvE abilities are tracking and Camo, and guess how useful those are in a fight? They aren't.

Why are we still waiting for some Dev to post here?

I didn't include foraging and creature knowledge, because those aren't necessary anymore.

/examine would be nice. Why shoot a creature with 80% cold resist with a cold weapon? Was always nice to be able to tell the others what to use to cause the most damage.

We all copy that BE. In my opinion the biggest reason Dev's don't give us any love is because they are too busy dealing with the jeeteye. I'm glad thesalami slicers of death/support us but that doesn't get the Smugglers, Creature Handlers, Commandos, Squad Leaders, and Rangers the attention they need.It may be wrong of me to do but when ever I see a jeeteyecoming my way ( unless its someone i know )I disbandmy camp put on some cammo and head out in the opposite direction.

This is my biggest issue. Dev's had a chance to give the Rangers some much needed love and they handed it to the jeeteye. YeaI have issues with the little sods, as someone had in there sig, "i don't have saber envy i have patch envy", and i hate when one profession gets things another profession should have got, A non-Ranger example of this would betheBH'sSpray Shot, very similar to the commando's Flame Cone wouldn't you say? I just don't know what the heck is going on with this game anymore.
