Thread: My tracking skill doesn't show you, sneaky Vesp, but I SEE you anyway!

Yeah, that's the kind of thing that's been happening to me all weekend.

I'm on Lok, and I hook up with a PA hunting party (even though I'm not in their PA, but I'm friendly with them, so it's okay). I arrange that I'llgo scouting on my own anduse my tracking skill to find animals forthe group to hunt. Well, half of the time,I either come up with nothing, then run 100 meters and find a lair of something, or I come up with a list of certain things and then run 100 meters and find a lair of something that wasn't on the list. It got to the point that I was close to just saying to them to just run around and find what they find, because I couldn't guarantee anything.

I don't get it. I mean, the group was impressed by the fact that I had such an ability, sure.... They had no experience with Rangers though they do regular PA hunts weekly. They were all talking about how they should really look to add a Ranger to the group now (especially since I DID manage to find a few highly sought after babies for the CH's in the group). But, as impressed as they sounded, I still felt like I was coming up quite a bit short on the results, actually. Though I didn't inform all of them at the time, there were several instances like this that occurred and caused me some concern. It was basically my job to find them the exciting and rewarding hunting targets, and my skills weren't working very well. By the end of the night, I felt more like an adoption agency instead of a hunting scout, because I couldn't find them anything worthwhile to hunt hardly. Maybe that's the way I have to market it now. Then again, it wasn't even working on that front all that often.

I had a similar thread up a little bit ago. NRaas (ranger correspondent) came in and said it was a noted bug. It seems like it may be related to the terrain. It is a helpful skill but it does have a lot of problems right now. Good luck with it.

I'm having similar problems. But the one that really gets under my skin is not that I can see them, and it not show up on /areatrack, but that /areatrack seems to be limited to creatures that have already spawned. I understand the load that having a "pre-spawned" planet would have on the servers, but can we at least have things spawn within the 500m of our being?

On the same note, am I the only one outrunning the radar? I have to stop every once in a while to let things catch up to me, or else spawnspop upeither behind or on top of me.

Dont feel alone ChunkyMunky I have the same problem outrunning radar and the problem seems even worse on Dathomir, if you are not on or close tothe same z-axis as the spawn it won't appear until you crest the hill and are in agro range. I will also say when areatracking something specific I now stop and wait for the server to catch up to me, it oftens takes 30secs to a min to populate the 'zone' I am in.
