Who can give advice on good HAM settings for a ranger in training. Im human male and use composite armor. Often i cant wear one or more of my armorpieces. I trained all lvl I ranger skills now. For weapon i use pistols.
Who can advice me on good settings? Or give me an URL for a site were the atributes are explained?
Thanks, Boj N'Dar

I suggest trying you other profession's boards as our only real need is action for throwing traps. If you want to try experimenting yourself, here is an explanation of the stats(see also page 14 of your manual)
Health: The size of the Health pool
Strength: How much Health your specials take (higher is lower cost specials)
Constitution: How fast your Health pool regenerates
Action: The size of your Action pool
Quickness: How much Action your specials take
Stamina: How fast your Action pool regenerates
Mind: The size of your Mind pool
Focus: How much Mind your specials take
Willpower: How fast your Mind pool regenerates

My tip is to get Novice Medic and keep only your composite helm (unless you're using a rifle). Dont use any other armor as it eats away your HAM too much. I'm zsbrak and these stats work really well for me. Perhaps my 'strategy' will help you configure your stats.
1000
300 (minimum)
300 (minimum)
1100
450 (maxed)
400 (maxed)
850
300 (minimum)
700 (minimum)
Secondary Health stats are minimized because i dont wear any health armor. Instead, those points are added to the Health pool. Same goes for the Mind stats. Action pool is reasonablly high with maxed secondary stats to minimize Pistol special costs.
The composite helm protects against mind damage which I cannot heal and I just pump Stim-B's to restore health and action.

thanks, got it settled now... dropped all armor but the helmet and got me a super looking tact suit. this works fine on the solo missions i took. Wonder about difficult group hunts though

I purchased some 58% kinetic protect chitin armour, full set. I used it quite a bit after twiddling with my stats. However, once I decided to get serious about obtaining master ranger, I discovered I had to remove most or all of it in order to use traps in a meaningful way. With the full set equipped, I could throw 10 before I was out of action. With none of it equipped, I can toss them with impunity, as my stamina is high enough that I'm regaining 3/4 action that I used between each use.
Combine that with the fact that I also use a greater sludge panther to help me hunt, and I rarely find it necessary to equip the armour anymore, unless the creature kills off Guen, in which case all the armour does is prolong the moment until my death.

Why? Could you explain, please? And how should those HAM settings be for someone who is using a rifle?
I'm not using any armor and haven't decided yet, wich weapon-type i'm going to specialize in, but rifle was my favorite.
