Thread: i have 52 points left what to get.
Camo is nice and will get better with the patch and Tracking is one of the best lines in the game to me..
camps & traps is really not needed unless you want to go master
"how does tracking work and what skill branch gives it to you"
Currently the only command available is /areatrack.
The way /areatrack works:
Once you use the command, you are provided a list of the creatures within a 500m radius of your location.
Higherskill levels in Tracking will give you direction and distance.
Higher skill levels also give you ability to track humanoids and players.
----
The command /trackis a future implementation that, when used, will spawn a new lair for a selected creature type.
"awsome what would tier 3 of this get me? and what branch is it in?"
I have no idea which level provides what...
The branch called Tracking provides the Tracking ability. ![]()
You can see all skill sets in game via the Skills Window:
- Ctrl-S
- Toggle the Show All Professions option
- Select and view the description on whatever skill you want.
"so would u recomend this over the masking/terrain negabilites?"
Interesting question.
The next patch will definitely fix most of the issues that Rangers have with /conceal (and /maskscent)
However... /conceal has limited use to a solo player (/maskscent works just fine withoutthe large expense).
- If you group with players that don't have /maskscent you will find /conceal very handy (as you can conceal them from attack).
/conceal has the added benefit of concealing from humanoid NPCs...
- For Creature Handlers, you could conceal yourself and allow your creature to take any aggros that you might run into (without risk of aggroing yourself).
The Terrain Negotiation has very limited use right now (it makes your character crawl faster, and that's it)
----
With /areatrack you can locate babies simpler... As well as locating other creatures that engage.
Later the /track skill (when implemented) will allow you to spawn new lairs at will, so you will always have something to attack.

The choice is yours. ![]()
