Hi, congrats on climbing this high, and yes there is an XP difference between the campsites, as you go along the cap on XP is raised per camp. One thing that can help you, which was new in the last patch is that now when you craft your tents, you get Survival XP. So, that leaves you with the possibility of Crafting/Grinding the tree. Personaly I have never enjoyedpower craftingbut what the heck do it in camp while you are healing.........and you will have lots of tents for later use+ a ton of XP.

Find a group, any group, noobs even (actually better). 4 or 5 people is good. Everyone gets missions - hint, don't all go one way, go from NE to NW for example, spreads things out, you are not tripping over each others missions. Run a mission, pop a camp, heal the group, craft, sing, dance, do something in the camp... in 8-10 minutes you have maxed a FB out for XP. Next mission... you get the idea.

On one trip to Dantooine, after about3 hours, I had done 8 camps, had 9k survival xp, had a load of hides and meat, good weapon XP, and was raking in the credits for the missions to boot. Yeah, long time, but figure in a macro, you would get...3k xp, no money, no other xp, no hides, no meat, no bone, and no bragging rights about what you had killed. Oh yeah, you will harvest more than enough to make up for the camps you are using, the only "cost" is the metal.

I am not a fan of macro camping, never did it. Like a lot of others I never saw the point. Yeah, I did some AFK camping (I was painting parts of the house) but that was towards the end, with less than 5k to go.

The other extreme says, set up a camp on Naboo near the bridge in one of the towns, more or less forcing people to run through it. Maxes the camp out quicker, but boring...

heres my method, im on naboo right now, ok? so, i find a fisher man or AFK macro harvester/sample hows on the lakes edge. i make camp there, they now are in it getting me XP, and i can fish to get survival XP.

if u r a soloist as me ,camp w/the best camp u can make, get a good book to read,and camp for 40mins.then disband and set up a new camp,this was a few patches ago but at 40 min's. is when i maxed out on xp for the camp,i compared it going up 5min. and the xp was the same so at 40min disband and set up a new camp. again this was a few patches ago so do alittle experimenting w/the time as u go,if u r staying by your pc reading/watching tv and u have entertainment play or dancemake sure u dont have armour on so u dont drain your action bar and u may draw in others who needs mind wounds healed which will give u more xp since u have more then 1 in the camp

I'm not a hardcore powergamer, so the survival tree just sucked badly. When I got to novice ranger and found I still needed survival xp that's when I went macro-camping. Am I proud of it, no. Did it get the job done, emphatically yes. I would set up my macro camping while I went to work, I managed to get the entire frontieering line done in just under two weeks (after all, I didn't leave my pc on all the time or I'd have been done faster). Those of you who got it done the old fashioned way, you have my utmost respect. I'm not that patient, nor do I have the time to spend on it. Everyone keep up the good work here, I humbly believe that we've got the best bunch of players in our honorable profession. I've looked some of the other profession boards and all I can say is *cough* disorganized *cough*. Then again, I suppose after taming the wild frontier, taming message boards is a cake walk.

Go to Theed on Naboo and set up a camp right in front of the bridge. People who want to use the bridge have to run through the camp to get across the river. Yeah, I know it's cheesey but does anyone really want to sit in a camp for hours just to get enough camping exp to level up?

Im not sure if they've fixed this yet or not, but
if you run in and out of your camp it will speed up the
rate you gain xp for that camp

Talk about cheesy! wooo!

Get afk dancers in your camp and just pitch a new one every 8 minutes. Call out the waypoint to your camp using a looping macro. set it up in a place like the Krayt Dragon Graveyard, somewhere where creature handlers walk around.

And place your camp so that you can fish while in the camp. It might not seem like a lot but the extra survival exp from fishing adds up quickly.

Im almost to master scout and plan on going to ranger and my only hinderance has been the survival tree.

What a depressingly slow tree that is!! Im usually alone and unless i want to sit and stare at the screen while sitting in a camp this is hard to get xp in. Is this tree just a grind?? Or is there a semi fast way to go about this?

And about camps.... does the type of camp make an xp difference? ex. multiperson vs. basic etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
