I think that the ranger profession really is great and only getting better. However, there are a few things I think that would make the class better, and maybe balanced.

Possible Additions to Ranger

  • Treatments

    • Stims

    • Varioustypes for bleed, dizzy, blind, damage, wounds

      • These could be crafted/foraged and would function like stims. It makes sense that a ranger would be able to make medicine from his surroundings. I don't know about you guys but, personally, I don't go and find a medic every time I retain damage or start to bleed. I sit in my camps and they very slowly disapear.

  • Blend in with surroundings

    • This does go along with some other ideas on the forums, but I am modifying it a bit

      • When used, the ranger would literally disapear from both the radar andoverhead map, and at master ranger, will not even show up on area track

    • It makes sense that we can disapear in our surroundings. Any of you who are in guilds, I am sure, are asked to scout ahead for raids and the like, wouldn't it be cool to be sneaking along in the grass near to an enemy player and not be seen?

  • Hunting Cabin

    • I am not getting into this one...I justreally like it

That's all I have for now. My main point is the medicine one, think of it as alternative medicine. The heal on damage would be, at master ranger, 500? Anyway, go ahead and post what you think, but please, no flames. We are all rangers here

Thanks

"Varioustypes for bleed, dizzy, blind, damage, wounds"

I've added a note regarding curing state effects using foragable herbs.

"Blend in with surroundings"

Lots of Posters request this... However I don't believe the developers are fond of PvP invisibility without severe restrictions.

That is why the note on the list requires a PvP concealed player to remain still and unable to attack.

Remaining still? Meh..I'd rather just not be able to attack and a slowed rate of movement. Possibly even forced to crawl.

However, I really like the idea of herbs being used to cure status effects.

yeah, forage for herbs, I like it!!! Different types of herbs could cure different types of wounds. That way I could get rid of my novice medic and novice entertainer, and free up all those skill points. (Because without these, I'm not very self reliant.) Teras Kasi Artists have a meditate tree that cures their wounds, health, action and mind. Why not the independent ranger?? Great idea!
