To much. There is so much to this game I just don't know which way to go, and with more to come.. aaaaahhhhh. LOL. No really I'm still considering Ranger but have not yet spent the pts to go that route. I have not seen or heard anything to push me that direction. Here are a few suggestions that I've heard and some new ones.

1. Animal Tracking - /Track animals name -

Here are some suggestions that I have heard and some new ones that may have already been stated. There is so much to this game already that I just don't know which route to take but RANGER was my first direction. I'm just waiting for something to make it more than a glorified scout.

1. Animal Tracking - Example: /track gnort - This would set a waypoint to the nearest gnort, etc. or a ranger can craft a tracking tool, similar to the Artisans resource tools. This Animal Tracker would show the highest percentage of a specific animal to spawn if a LURE was set.

2. LURE - see above - lures animal of type to location causing to spawn. The draw back to this, is you don't know if anything will spawn or if something dangerous will spawn, killing you and your hunting party.

3. Animal Harvesting is a bit much but maybe an Animal Feeder. Yes I hunt deer. Use the idea but you have to keep it stocked with food. Certain foods attract certain types of animals. A ranger can take hunting parties to their feeders and have at it.

4. High Tech Field Bases - Since all the talk about a RANGER being able to live away from cities. I think the Ranger's highest base should take down his own BF. NOT his groups, but his own. These High tech bases should also stay even if the Ranger attacks and maybe they do but I know the Scouts go abandoned when the creator attacks, which is fine for the scout but a ranger's Highest level Base should not.

5. Fouraging/Camp Crafting/Fishing should give Survival XP

6. Trapcrafting should give trap XP - good lord i've had to throw traps all day just to make it to Trap 3. I've made so many freaking traps that i'm a master artisan now. LOL. No really, i have more crafting pts than I can count.

7. Back to Animal Harvesting - Just thought of one. Setting a Trap that hangs around for awhile, This trap will trap the animal and harvest the resource that you set for it. The TRAP is a one time deal. But his could be use full in combonation with the Ranger's other mentioned abilities.

Example: A Ranger sets up a Animal Feeder that attracts a specific type of animal, you set a few animal snares out for the type of animal you are trying to lure to your feeder, and BAM!!! you cought and harvested a few FAMBA'S well maybe nothing this big at first.

8. Trophies, Keep trophies, teeth, head, ect. Something to prove you killed it. What fun it would be to show folks your RANCOR headinthe house you just boughtand built in the mountains of NABOO.

I think these suggestions would make Ranger a fun and resourceful skill as the others. This actually will give the ranger something to do, other than shoot animals all day long. I like the idea of actually tracking, snaring and luring animals and being a guide for those that need the BONE, HIDE, and MEAT.

See yall around...

I think we should get an ability to make trophies or something.. I like the idea of being able to make hide clothing from a previous post.

It would be interesting to be covered in tattered hides from all the things you've killed.

I agree with almost everything you said, but must take exception to the trapping xp. Trapping xp is easy to come by if done properly. I just earned 37000 trapping xp in one fight that I never even fought in. A grasslands voritor was fighting a fierce piket protector. I simply masked my scent, stood back, and lofted traps at both of them. When all was said and done, The grasslands voritor prevailed over the piket, but I made out like a bandit. Funny little side note - I have absolutely no combat skills whatsoever. I surrendered them all as I am persuing both doctor and ranger at the moment.

I do feel that some changes need to be made for rangers. I like your ideas. I cannot believe that the game does not allow clothes to be made from hides yet. Trophies from kills would be nice. I would like rangers to be able to shoot better than other professions while mounted. These men/women are outdoorsmen. The are survivalists, They should be riding animals more than the other professions and should therefore have a bonus (or lack of a penalty) when firing from a mount. One big problem I have however, deals with the traps. I find it rediculous that rangers cannot use any type of trap on a person. I know that they specialize in taking down animals, but They really aughta be able to use their abilities in self-defense, if need-be.

Well, that's my two bits.
