Well I am a lover of fishing... it passes the time while grinding out camping xp... I have caught a small variety of fish, mostly fishing on Lok and a bit on Naboo...

Now, do the types of fish you catch vary from planet to planet?

And are there any quasi-legendary sized fish or monumental catches you've made? Any "uber-fish" if you will?

Just wondering if I am ever going to catch anythign besides Laa,Faa, Ray's and blowfish?

I am not sure how the whole fish meat thing works. Most fish I have caught are in the 3-5 unit range. It really ticks me off when I finally find the good meat and the fish are dropping like 1 unit each.

Biggest drop I ver got was 13 of a Ray, and that fish has also given me 1 many times on diff planets at diff times. So I dont really think there is any rhyme or reason to it.

Im not thinking along the lines of meat since it gives so little of it, but mor elike the size and colorful designs... a rare fish or something..

I haven't seen anything special or out of the ordinary. The thing that ticks me off about the fish.. is you get this great "container" when you are done fileting, and you can't put it up on the wall. It sits on the floor like a lump. If it would only sit up higher like a backpack.

I think hunting/fishing "trophies" would be a nice addition to the game. Let me put that Kimo skull in my house, or the Ray fish on the wall.

But i was thinking the other day about giving master rangers an ability to loot the Head off of creatures so you can mount them on your walls. Like a stuffed Rancor head.

This could be just a TC thing (since that's the only place I play, I don't know what's on live) but I have caught several variaties on Lok including black fish, blue fish, laa, faa, striped fish and at least one other. So it looks as though there are several variety of fish. I've never gotten more than 10 meat off of any of them, so the variety just seems to be merely asthetic in quality. hope this helps

I think that fish on the wall is a special decoration made like furniture. Its not a fish somebody caught. At least I sure can't figure out how to get mine off the floor!

oh. I'll have to ask the person who had it, to see if they caught the fish or bought them.

By the way, whats a good quality for fishing pole's, a friend made me one with a wuality of 80 (thats what he said)

There are only 7 types of fish in the whole galaxy. They can be caught on any of the 10 planets. They are:

Faa
Laa
Ray
Striped Fish
Blackfish
Bluefish
Blowfish

That's it. You'll never catch any other type of fish unless/until the Devs change the code.

It looks like Bluefish is the only one I have not seen.

U can put your fish on the wall by drop it on the stairs of your house them move it to were u wont it. It will stay at the same height as u drop it on the stairs.

I think I may have done more fishing than anyone ever heh. On my server, noone sells fish, and recognizing a need from bio engineers (for pet stim d's) I sell fish in quantity. I try to sell fish in lots of 1k, but unfortunately I am usually only able to collect 600 or so before the resource shifts, and I'd say I've caught over2500 fish (thanks largely to Volsted's Guide to Powerfishing! thanks bud!!)

As far as pricing on other servers is concerned, resource costs are just plain different accross the board... while the issue of what something costs to collect/make might be constant, the issue of what people are willing to pay is not.

Mounting fish on walls is just a matter of utilizing the stairs in your house. When you drop an item, it falls to your feet. To get an item to be higher than foot level (for those items that default to the ground) you need to stand on the stairs, at the height you want the object to be. Then you just move it from there. Supposedly, there's a new method for decorating that's *in the works* but, whatever...
