Thread: Oh the irony......
So I have two characters. One I've had for months now and have nurtured and developed finding exactly the playing style and professions that I think are "right" for me.
The second account I've had for about a month, and more than anything was there to add another body to the player city. I haven't really taken him too seriously nor even played him very much.
With the Christmas holo's I decided I would turn character #2 into my would-be FS toon. I figured I'm entirely too attached to character #1 and all the effort I've put into his development to watch it all go away at the whims of a silly box. I even went so far as to give the holo from toon 1 to toon 2 already.
So I take character 2 and nervously use my holo.
"Master Ranger" it tells me. Not so much as novice scout on this particular character and it tells me to become a ranger.
The irony? Toon #1, whom I would never drop his professions for..........Is a Ranger.
30+ random professions out there, and I get the one I have spent months working on already on the other account. 
Proof that the Dev's have a sense of humor? Probably not.
Anyway, thought I'd share. 
A similar thing happened to a person I know on SS. On one acct she has a master ranger, and on the other acct she had to master ranger for holocron.
I personally have a tough time justifying $15/mo for this game (from time to time, not always)... let alone $30! One couple that I know has 5 accounts between the 2 of them! The girlfriend has 3 and the boyfriend has 2... that's mmm.... $75/mo spent on a video game. /shrug to each their own I suppose, but that just seems like overkill to me.

My irony:
Created account #1 and started playing the game as an entertainer, moved on to musician. This was early in the life of the server, and seeing a lack of clothing variety I switched to Tailor before mastering musician. Eventually mastered Tailor, and bought another account. Account #2 is a ranger/rifleman, and I didn't want to change that. So I go back to account #1, who is close to master combat medic. I popped that first holo and gues what?! Master Musician. I guess the game figures I should finish what I started oh so long ago, lol
I actually got lucky with mine. I only have one account, but chars on two different servers. My main is Master Ranger/Carbineer 1-3-2-1/Squad Leader 1-1-1-1 and my second is so new I barely have Surveying 2 (or is it 1?). I used my holo on both chars, the second char (my newbie) gets Master Entertainer, so I think okay, not too bad, at least it's not an elite profession. When I use mine for my main char, what do I get? None other than Master Squad Leader!
Granted, it's taken me quite a while to get just to 1-1-1-1 since I haven't played very much lately, and I haven't had SL very long, and I'm not even half way to the next level of any one tree (they all use the same xp type), and I don't do large hunting parties often. But still, at least mine was something I've been debating on getting anyway! Of course, that just means my next one will say Master Image Designer or Master Combat Medic, or Master Basket Weaver for that matter!
Funny thing is, I only have one account, but I got two holos and two pieces of art. Really funny thing is, I had no intention of using even the first one. I like being the Ranger/Carbineer/Surveyor that I am.
Anyone else get 2, or was the force truly with me that day?

Same here, I got two holocrons and two pieces of art and I have no intention of opening my fortune cookies until after I master Ranger...if even then!
