As y'all know, I hate macros. If and when I decide to grind my way cuz a holo said so, I will be sitting at the keyboard, no macros.

On that note -

I come across a AFK player (Imp even) obviously killing meatlumps with his pet outside the starport. I watch, and realize that the pet is on guard, won't attack unless something aggro's on the owner. The Lumps aggro, are shot at, the pet attacks... you got the point.

So, being the lousy sneaky Rebel I am, I camo'd the AFK person. No aggro for him for 10 mins or so. Sat back and watched, it worked. It worked well. I left the lad and went about my business. I also emailed a few friends who were in the area, they also dropped by and made sure he stayed camo'd for a while. Opps, he went idle and auto-logged, how sad.

An unintended but useful application of a camo kit. You may call it griefing, but AFK killing isn' t right either. Two wrongs may not make a right, but two Wrights make an airplane and three rights make a left.

Cute. I can't give tacit approval since you are affecting some poor bot's game play, but I can appreciate the situation.

What I find strange is that conceal never worked against meatlumps for me... Now that I have dropped Wayfaring, can I get you to "grief" me so it works properly?

Ha! That's awesome. Now if only we could stop those BH's from spamming eye shot. I've actually heard of BH's setting up attack macros that basically have nothing but eye shot in them. once i think i heard one say that they had one that just kept auto targeting and then just spammed a few attacks before switching to the next target, essentially allowing them to go AFK hunting if there were enough creatures around them. Not sure if it was BH B.S. though.

Honestly macroing is a two-eged sword. I think AFK macroing takes a lot away from honest players, but macroing in general is not a horrible idea. I know that for grinding artisan proffessions it takes a long time to get any serious XP. So it's neccesary to macro to cut down on all the time spent on the silly little menus that pop up..."do you really want to craft this?" No, I'm pretending to want to craft this, I've just made 3, 567 projectile rifle barrels in a row, but this time, I'm just feeding you a line, you stupid little crafting device. lol.

But I agree, AFK macros are something that cheapens the gameplay for serious players/role players. At the same time there seems to be no way for them to take away macros without hurting people who use them for good reasons. So it's dammed if you do, dammed if you don't and I think the benefits outweigh the actions of those who want to exploit the game.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.
