Greetings rangers !
Im about to finish mastering scout, just need 10 surv xp. I wanna be a ranger ! Before i begin reading the posts in this forum in detail , i was just hoping that someone could post any top issues and advice which effect rangers. ie, someone told me tracking was bugged, is this the case ? Any other bugs which effect rangers ?
Sorry im a bit vague , i will get down to a proper read of this forum when i have the time.
cheers

Here is the quick and dirty;
The Wayfaring line grants terrain negotiation and camo. TN only applies to crawl speed and camo is basically slightly better than maskscent, but uses resources.
The Survival line is just more camping, but the camps are not quite as useful as they could be. You can always impress your friends when you pull out the High Tech Field Base.
The Tracking line contains all of our useful abilities. Here you can find the harvesting and creature knowledge bonuses, as well as /areatrack. /areatack is a great skill, but has limitations. The main one being that you can only track waht has spawned. You need people in the are to force things to spawn, but now it seems that servers will spawn fewer things when there are more people on that planet. Talk about a catch-22.
The traping line allows you to land traps on larger creatures, but the actual Ranger traps are not as useful as the Scout traps. The /rescue command pulls aggro from another person. This can be accomplished much more easily by standing in between the person you want to save and the mob that is attacking.
