I check the trade forums. Many crafters need large quantities of meats and hides, and they advertise there. They post the prices they're willing to pay and the amounts they're looking for. Many of the power crafters will take as much as they can get, and they have the cash to do it.

Good avian meat always sells well. If you see a good ahift of that, just hunt the holy heck out of it. Even if you don't have a buyer lined up, you will find one eventually. Docs can make 6 crates of 50 buffs with 30 charges each out of 6600 avian meat (along with all the other resources of course). So go for stacks in the 10k range. 10k units * 100 cpu = shiny new armor and rifles = happy talisa!

I hardly ever have to look for good resources. Once you get some regular customers or get to know some crafters they usually tellyou where the good resources are before you find them yourself. If a crafter gives you a good resource tip, go out of your way to harvest some for them and they will be sending you tips all the time.

ie)

Crafter tells you: Have you had a chance to harvest any of that Lok Avian meat?

You reply to Crafter: No. Is it good stuff?

Crafter tells you: Hell ya!

You reply to Crafter: Alright, I'll head over there and check it out. If I harvest some I will let you know.

Crafter tells you: Super!. Thanks.

I was thinking...the best way to harvest for cash is walk up to a doc or crafter and ask them what they need. However, this can be quite time consuming and Im sure there's already certain harvest that are always in demand, and then the rare stuff. Along those lines does "overall quality" of something really matter to customers? or if someone says "I need dath leathery hide!" can I take it as just run out there start harvesting and come back knowing they'll buy it.

anyhoo just wondering if there's any feedback on this topic or any resources we can use that get update regularly.

swgcraft.com tells all of the resource stats by server. Once you find out what resources a profession needs (AS need Wooly hide, Docs need herb meat, etc) you can check that site for what the current stats are on a resource. Of course to sell it, you need to have either a vendor or contacts.

Thanks guys! I placed some friendly advertisements in the Armorsmith and Trade forums. I'll see what kind of response I get from there before trying other boards.

I hope to find someone like you mentioned Zigabob. I'm always up for making new friends than to trade with strangers or loose a lot of valuable in game time (extremely limited by Family responsibilities) randomly looking for someone to sell to or harvesting stuff that will just take up pack space hehe.
