Thread: Apprentice xp.... AARRRGGGGG!!
I would make sure my title was showing above my head, then I would keep my eyes open to people asking to be trained in exploration, trapping, ect. I would also do the same for my other profession. Fred also has made a great suggestion on going to the higher lvl planets.

When I first started, I used to stress over getting Apprentice xp. Then i decided to just be a ranger. I know it sounds funny, but read on. As ranger's, we strive to help others when we can. Grinding for AP is alot like grinding your way thru the camping trees. Go to a less populated, but interesting city like Mos Eisley. New people to the galaxy recognize the name, so that's where they like to start. Then, instead of spamming for Apprentice points........help people 
I'm on the radiant server, myself. I've made Mos eisley my home from the beggining.......from a time when it was loaded with people.....to a time when it became a ghost town.....to just recently, where the population is making a comeback. There are new people everywhere, with no one to turn to for help. So I do my best to help everyone i can get started, and pointed in the right direction. Whether it's helping them find their way around, giving them money and decent weapons, paying for new novice skills so they can discover what they might want to do (proffesion wise), Etc..........
I pull in almost 500 AP a night sometimes, and i don't even need it. I just want to make sure everyone new to the galaxy has a good time. I remember what it wan like when i first started (epic battles with kreetles and such ) I've had lines of people waiting to just learn the languages from me (I know this doesn't earn AP, but as I said, I'm doing it to help, not grind ) The new people would much rather learn for free, than pay a trainer. Anyways, my answer to you is - Don't grind to become a ranger.....just BE a ranger, help people. Not only will you rack in the AP, but you'll have truly earned the title above your head
Offer to pay a fee for allowing someone to be trained so you get AXP.
As the proud owner of 300k in combat xp, I can be trained - oh - 300 times in ranged support 1, Nothing says it has to be Scout/Ranger related to be AXP.
Don't even want to count how many guildies I have been trained by so they can get to 1240.

I don't know what the issue is here, apprentice xp is the easiest thing to get quite frankly, unless you bent on doing it the honest, "I'm only going to offer training in the skillls I currently have" method.
Find some one like a guildy that has around 20k or combat xp, (most any combat person usually has their combat xp maxed at 300k so this really shouldn't be a problem), have both of you pick up novice marksman if you don't already have it, learn ranged support 1 from the trainer, then train your buddy in it over and over again. You can go from 0 to a maxed out 1240 apprentice xp in about 10mins. Your buddy is gonna be doing a lot of clicking and 'yes' typing but besides that it's no biggie.
Thought everyone knew this.

Thrak thanks, I love your approach as well which I will do going forward. It's much more in line with my character's RP aspect anyway!
As luck would have it though, I posed the same question to my guildmates a night or 2 after this post. One of them offered to give up combat xp to get me the points I had left to get. ROFL took 15minutes for the whole deal. Now Thrak and the others got me feeling bad about it, LOL.
But! the good of it is that up until now I really havent been using my guild for much else than saying hi and good night (still not too sure how to make the most out of guilds) so this was definitely kewl. I look forward to paying back the favor to other guildmates going forward.
