Thread: Area Tracking Jedi?

Does anyone do this? I have come across and killed a few jedi on Yavin 4 by random recently. I figured it would be nice to try and track them so I'm going down the tracking tree now and just got novice ranger. Any idea's how to make this work most effectively? I also noticed this post on the BH forums: **Jedi will most likely NOT go too far from the outposts (usually around 2000 meters or so to avoid area track from the outpost) because they eventually have to go back to the main planets, usually to rebuff or train.** This regarding BH's with tracking skill, or people with tracking skill in general? I have also been compiling a list of jedi to help me track. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I actually started doing this myself a few days ago. With tracking IV i pick up people on areatrack up to 500m(heard it was lower....but 500 is what i get). I started keeping a list of dark jedi in /notepad, and run around the odd corners of the advanced planets looking for jedi. FYI, you will have better luck if you around with no weapon equipped, or with a noob carbine or something. The moment they see a rifle they usually bolt. The population on the advanced problems has gone upa lot lately, which is reducing the amount of wild spawns. Therefore, the jedi are usually hunting closer to the outposts than they previously were. For instance, on dath i went to the southern part of the planet, and didn't see a single mob for 20 minutes. They all spawn near the players....around outposts.

Some people don't like the idea of killing jedi, since they can possibly lose skills if they die too much, but the way i see it, its better to hit them now then when they are fully trained and nearly invincible. With the coming patches they will only be getting tougher. Now is the time to strike!

I agree completely. Plus, there is nothing in this game like the rush I get from a man hunt! Got to love the jedi tef, hehe. I've started giving them a choice. While they lay incapped I tell them they have 60 seconds to have a friend bank tip me 175,000 credits or they die.

Also, thanks for your feedback. My other character is a Master chef so I'll be making alot of that food that allows you to burst run 5 times, that should help me when they make a break for it with force run. Are you a BH with tracking? I'm TKM, 4 4 4 0in medic, and soon to be 0 0 4 0 ranger.Hopefullythistemplate will help, though as you said we best get them now beforethe become to powerful in the new addition.

I currently have m-rifle, tracking 4, novice brawler(intimidate is a must), ranged support 4(for suppression....kinds sux tho, and good aiming, to get past sabre blocks), and medic 1230, for stim Cs.

With burst run, and m-scout terrain neg, its not hard to keep the jedi kited, especially on the steep hills of dath.

I'm basically just doing this for fun until the combat rebalance(sick of CMs basically), then will prolly go back to a melee and ranged template like i had before.
