Do rangers get to "have their cake and eat it to" to me this is the case. I enjoy hunting and i get paid to do it. just wondering if you guys feel the same.

I remember a thread a few months ago.. It basically asked, "Would you still hunt if prices dropped" or if you were only payed 10cpu or something like that. Surprisingly, many said it wouldn't be worth the effort.

I think I even said I'd still hunt if I didn't make much. But lately I've gotten burned out on hunting.

These days, I spend most of my time planet hopping to sample resources and update swgcraft.com for the kauri server every few days or once a week.. A thankless job which makes you the target for complaints when you update something and it shifts the next day.

I still like hunting, but lately I need to find the motivation for it.. Credits aren't always enough, since I've got more than I can find a use for. My last hunt was killing rancors for hide and bone, so I could do huge runs of traps and HTFB crates for guild use. That's my current motivation.

Actually I'm still looking for my cake. I think I left it on Yavin. Been /areatracking it for weeks now but still no luck. But you can be damn sure once I find it I will eat it too.

I'm not so sure we have our cake and eat it too. I mean, really, it takes 30 skill point to become a heluva harvestor. Actually, this is somewhat nagging to me about ranger: the other parts are kinda ho-hum.

I hardly sell my stuff, trade it more than sell. And money isn't an issue for me. So yes, I would still hunt if I made no money. It's the thrill of the hunt, not the money that attracts me.

wait wait wait... back it up a few seconds here...

30 creds per UNIT of hide??? I'm on Intrepid, and I'm getting 10cpu for (OverallQuality 9XX UnitToughness 9XX) hides. Are some of you actually getting 30 creds per unit of high quality hide? Am I being ripped here? Is there someone I can complain to?

Man, if you guys can post your average prices, I'd be appreciative, to say the least. Thanks.

i just fulfilled an order of 25k units of rori wooly hide for 40cpu....of course, right after that, it sold on the trade forums for 90cpu, but what can you do?

i'd probably continue to hunt just because i like being a ranger and, like others, i've got more money then i know what to do with. but i don't think ranger is as good as it can get. maybe when the devs actually start paying attention to us, it will get there.

Differnt servers have different economies. If you check your server's trade forum for hide sales, you can get a good idea of waht you should charge.
