Okay for those of you who have been checking the posts regularly, you've probably read at least one of my rambling incoherent posts. I apologize, I have too much sugar in my diet and I really can't focus. See my doctor tells me I should see a shrink, and my shrink says I should see a doctor and my parents say....well nevermind about them.

Okay, on each of these posts I have put a little food for thought on the subject of Rangers on TC. I honestly think we have a shortage (even in Ranger terms, we are a small percentage). Anyway, I thought I'd open the floor to debate on the subject and eventually curb my need to preach towards the tail end of my posts. Here is the issue: TC is a low-population galaxy, due to our frequent updates and such, but we still need all the love we can get. Rangers are especially hard to come by, specifically at the master level, thus making it difficult to train and to get recognition. It inhibits people from following Ranger since finding a trainer involves hours of /telling and/or travel expenses to an insane degree. Walking around ghosts cities /shouting "any Rangers" stinks, and training expenses mount up quickly considering our economy is in the toilet. (Whoever had the idea for a /swirlee command, it is already in effect- you can see it in effect if you check the Bazaar in TC).

I would like to see TC become a more frequented galaxy because I think the more people that help test new things, the better the game will be as a whole. For those of you who would like to see changes to the Ranger proffesion, this is where those changes will be implemented and tested first. If you want to get a voice into what command/abilities work, TC is the place where your opinion would truly count. I think TC Rangers shoud unite to form a group perhaps the groups from Live would see fit to allow TC Rangers into their realm?) to support our proffession and keep it working and debug any issues.

You might need to perform a Full Scan to update all your TC files.

I too will be porting over to TC when char copy is ready

Very likely by the time char copy is set I will again be master. But it will be very hard to make money since I won't have any direct combat ability... If my xp ports over too, then I'll have 900k unarmed (which is a nice head start on TK) and will probably do TKMR for that.

I understand that a LOT of people are waiting for the CC to come into affect, but I'd really like to see more people coming over before that (I know that's asking a lot for what seems like a very small reward). Let me explain- first of all, a lot of you are masters and don't want to do that grind again. Understandable and believe me, I can relate. But right now, before CC, you have the oppourtunity to get the ultimate in Ranger XP cheating-vehicles. I detest that kind of grinding (don't do it myself, I like the journey involved, kinda my homage to role-playing, I guess, the idea of becoming uber-ranger in one week seems weak. But for those of you who want Ranger because you've already made it there, I understand. I've heard of people making 100k+ scouting XP riding around advanced planets with mask scent or camo. So the grind wouldn't be as bad.

plus, the destination is only the tip of the journey, and you'd get to visit all the planets again. Plus, on TC, you'd meet the friendliest people on any server I've been to. If you need help, just ask, and almost any TC player worth their meddle will help. Unless you spam /tell every single one "you hav ve3hicles, can I have speeder" you'll likely get a friendly responce. If you don't, just send me a tell and I'll challenge whoever it was to a duel. I'll lose, cause I'm a Ranger, but they'll get the picture.

Honestly, I think TC needs more Rangers. Like most of TC they're good people. And wouldn't it be nice to be in a server where you're niceness is reciprocated, people?? Anyway, just a thought. okay, I HATE to do this, but I really think it's a pressing issue. Especially since so many people are THINKING about CCing over. so here it is, the most despicable thing I've ever done since I joined TC and starting putting posts here. I apologize- the lack of responces has forced me.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry

I had a character on TC, then deleted it for some stupid reason to start over. It's been two weeks now and I stillcan't re-use my name. SoI am now "Zkulll" on TC slowly working his way back up.

As far as the lack of interest, I can see why. As I'm running from this gubber I'm thinking to myself, "What the heck? I've done all this before!! I should be working on my holos!!".

After all, I am paying to play this game - not test it! During the time I am playing on TC I am thinking I should be paying to advance my own "real" character. I think my dream job was more likeI'd be payed for testing games, not paying for testing games!

But that isn't really the main issue for me. It's mainly a guilt feeling I have when playing on TC because I know there is so much I need to do with my 'real' toon and I don't feel like I get enough time to play him as it is. So using what little play time I do get on a character that really doesn't matter to anyone and might just get wiped out soon, doesn't make much sense time-wise (and money-wise).

Perhaps if they would provide some kind of "rebate" incentive, more folks wouldn't mind helping out. For example, every hour spent on TC gets applied to your account or something like that. Or even better, any exp I get on TC gets applied to my character!!

But that said, I do understand the need to have testers and to check things out.And so, reluctantly, I am back on TC as a lowly scout wondering "Why am I running so slow?".

I suspect the proposed Character Copy will allieviate some of this problem... Maybe.

I also will be copying my Ranger over to TC when the feature is enabled.

I get same fatal error, after downloading all the files. But I have been saying since before the Devs asked about it, give us the option to either copy characters, or better yet, build characters at any level. As soon as they do that, they will get more of the TC population they want.

Who are you? Where are you?

I've had a TC toon since late summer, but don't often get a chance to build up his skills. I've been on TC somewhat frequently in the past month, but I never see any other rangers in RIN. (Just me and "System".. and he seems to be a lurker.. or maybe afk.. I don't know, he doesn't talk back.) j/k

Anyway, I usually play in the AM hours, EST on weekdays. Maybe that's why I've never seen another test center ranger.
