Well after many months of grinding weapons experience, the real goal happened last weekend. I made master ranger, still have a long way to go on the rifleman though. Its kind of funny how ranger actually came easily, doing things I enjoy and rifleman feels like a job. I've been dabbling with creature handler and may change to that, looks like more fun thanthe ranged weapon (btw I'd still have the rifles branch from marksman).
What do I like about ranger:
walking among nasty creatures seemingly unnoticed
imperial theme park, no armor or buffs
hunting no armor or buffs
the HTFB. . .
. . .well everything.
What do I dislike about ranger:
I'll have to get back to you on that, can't think of anything right now

How do you hunt with no armor no buffs? are you hunting small game or is it the just conceal shot? I haven't found a way to hunt with no armor and no buffs unless I'm setting up camp to heal up right after I'm done fighting the beasties. That's with hunting bigger game though.

Congrats!!
Found the same thing with Ranger/Rifles. Ranger was FUN, Rifles were WORK.
OTOH, am now having great fun trashing NPC's for coin and weird loots. That combination of concealshot and camo is excellent. Oh, and the XP starts coming in in BIG chunks too

In reply to Reos:
I strategicaly place myself so that I can get one creature to agro on me at a time, with the hopes I can take it down before it charges me. Maskscent and conceal are your friends. Also, Ithrow a P-dart to slow the creature down once it does charge me( traps are valuable tools if used right). If multiple creatures charge, burst run can be another valuable tool. I've also started playing with pets, they can help to hold a creature at a distance while I shoot at it. I do put down a lot of camps forhealing and the HTFB wow factor. Also I may have misrepresented myself a bit, I have buffed a total of 3 times since I started last summerand I do have a set of ubese armor for the really big creatures. (I won't mention the kryat fiasco a week ago with a group from my home player city to just to protect the innocent parties, but I did die three times that night). But when hunting the small to mid level creatureswhose resourcessell well, armor just isn't in the picture. The difference may be in the combat prof's we are: rifleman = ranged, swords = melee (I assume).

Congrats to you my Brother and welcome to the family.
Reos,
Hunting unbuffed and without armor is what Ranger/Rifleman is all about. It take times and practices lots of it. It can’t be macroed or afked.
