Thread: AFK players = NPCs

No clue how that came out, unless the CSRs laffed and Pepsi came out their noses ( I hate Pepsi, why I was not a good CSR) onto their keyboards.

No, I think that is a pre-req. for being a CSR.
If I have to AFK while in a town, I'll sit quietly in a corner somewhere or go to the starport and run my joke telling macro to entertain people who are waiting for their med buffs.
THAT has been fun and I get tons of compliments. I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery because I saw someone else doing it in the cantina last night on Coronet. Kinda irittated me that they couldn't do something original but whatever.

Ok, I come upon an (AFK) player camped in a spawn spot, killing Meatlumps. Not looting, as they were 4 piled at his feet.
I treat all AFK people like NPCs. They are there to enhance the game, they can't bug you unless they are spammers, I do not tip them ever, and generally I treat them as if they were not there.
Entertainers - no tip, you are getting XP running a macro. That's tip enough. Maybe more XP if anyone actually listens to you.
Tumblers - /addignore, I max med xp on real people.
Spammers - I usually am not there long enough to be worried. /addignore works good tho
Fighters - I may camo them, I may steal kills, I may wander past, depends on my mood.
Campers - as in scouts camping and spamming for visitors. I find an aggro to drag into the camp so the toon shoots, and they lose all that nice xp. Yes, I can be a butthead.
Anyhow, I stand there and drop Lumps right and left. And looting, good loot too. Rats, I run out of stims and drop, but they don't DB me. About this time AFK boy comes back and whines I am in "his spot". I get up, reply that spots don't have names on them, and as he was AFK for the past hour... I move along so as not to listen to his whining. He is gonna "report" me. Fine, go for it.../addignore.
No clue how that came out, unless the CSRs laffed and Pepsi came out their noses ( I hate Pepsi, why I was not a good CSR) onto their keyboards.
I will continue to treat AFK buffons as NPCs. NPCs have no rights, nor do AFK'ers.
thoughts, comments, nasty cracks...

The thing I hate the most is that Tumblers seem to take priority to some doctors.
Here I am, requesting some medical service (and I tip pretty well for it too) and no one looks at me, cos they're huddled around a tumbler.
I can handle the spammers in C-net. Walk around Las Vegas... there's the RL equivalent handing out porno flyers. The AFK dancers... I never give 'em XP. I find the one dancer who will actually interact with me (and they get a big tip).
But those damn Tumblers. ARGH!

That's why I'll be in a camp more often than I'll go to the med-center. I can heal wounds with novice medic easily enough, it just takes a bit longer. But I'll always hit the cantina for a cold Jawa Beer and a dance with a purty woman.
