Is there a way to get Talus Insect Meat? A CM needs some for some diseases he is making. We've tried to get some. There are two kinds of creatures that drop this stuff, various Mites and Dalyrakes. I can't seem to pull any of these creatures off the terminals. Any advice on how to do so? Have any of you tried to hunt Talus Insect meat before? Only way i can find out to do it is to run around the cities blowing up all the mite hatchlings i can find. Other then that i am completly stumped.

Generaly if you go runninb about you endup stumbling all over them, though i find that alot tend to gather around the giant mite caves on talus

How can you not find mites? Suckers are everywhere. Go south of Dearic to the coast. Fact is, they live around Dearic.
No, you ain't gonna find them on the terms, they are like cl 0 missions. Noobs use them for punching bags.

True, problem is that mites are about as bad as nuna's. I was more thinking along the lines of finding dalyrakes.

actualy Rott mites I found gave more than the diseased mites, though the big Dung mites gave off near enough drylak quanities

I was digging around an old archeological bookshop in Nashal last night when I found this...
How do I find ane dalyrake?
To the hillsides I do me take,
and there I say in voice loud and strong
"To find a fynock won't take me long"!
And then, like festering sores, upon a buttock
Springs up Dalyrake, mad as futtock.
But no, in sooth, I have them gulled
and soon the beasties shall be culled.
With overcharged shot and lots of brandy
well soon I'm stocked up fine and dandy
Dalyrake corpses round me abound
That my son is how they're found!

thats quite good, but what i found funny was that when I was hunting dyake before as part of a contract the nest was on a hill, but i think i must of killed at least 20 Giant dryake as by the ime i was finished i had a full circle of corpses and me standing on this hill clear of corpses

Monday (when I only had a little time to play and was solo) I found dung mites all over the place. Tuesday, I had buffs, help, etc and couldn't find more than 3 mites beyond the stuff outside the city. Haven't seen a Dalrayke once since this spawn started and I spent 4+ hours tracking the hills of talus yesterday. In fact, almost nothing was spawning at all... fields and fields of nothing (but a couple decent aa'ukan spanws)

The best way to hunt on any planet , IMHO, is to find a player city near a POI. Get 2 missions for whatever it is you are hunting in the direction of the POI. And walk to them. Be a Ranger , there really is no rush on most of this stuff. If you start clearing out the spawns around the POI, most of the time you will get creatures you are looking for. Now this doesn't work 100% of the time, as I have seen the POI's borked and not spawning any wild spawns at all. But this way, it is very relaxing to just wander around and hunt. And you never know, you may find shiny things in the pockets of some errant Aa'kuans
