Seriously, why doesn't this happen?
I originally thought "oh, they must just get treated as loot". But that thought was discarded because you can stack them manually - unlike loot. It's not game breaking or anything, but c'mon, it is an inconvenience.
When I told Reybekk to give me one good reason, he said "becaue their curvey". I figured I should turn to the ranger community and hopefully not be left having to accept Reybekk's answer.

And neither do Crustratens or mollusks. If you stacked eggs you'd risk cracking them

eggs don't auto-stack because you touch them in naughty places when you pick them up.

Says who? I stacked over 10k worth of Nab, Fambaa and Bolle Ol milk on two different occassions.

he doesn't mean 'stack' so much as AUTO-stack. If you collect milk five times, you will have five seperate stacks until you manually combine them.Message Edited by Cryos_Merovingian on 01-19-2005 12:59 PM
Aahhh, I see. My bad, sorry.
Move along, move along. Nothing to see here.

It's cause of the rounded edges, they just cant balance ontop of each other
And I could really do with getting my hands on a recycler. How DO I go about getting my hands on one and what does it do to the stats?

I ran through a gang of alkhara bandits on Tat last night, and, despite having +ve faction with them they attacked me bigtime. So I killed em all.
Found three organic recycler schematics in my invent. Now I just need the rest of the bits...

I SUSPECT that I could write an ingame macro to harvest milk and eggs AFK. since TC is locked, I haven't been able to test it.
if an AFK egg or milk macro is possible, then auto-stacking would encourage this. shellfish doesn't stack, and to harvest it in any quantity BEGS for at least a looping survey macro to keep your hands free for stacking the samples. BioE DNA sampling is macro'd by MANY, and while DNA doesn't stack at ALL, it does carry a penalty for having a full inventory: guaranteed aggro.
so... AFK macro = bad.
BioE solution? aggro when inventory full.
shellfish solution? no auto-stacking.
milk/eggs? have to try a macro (ingame... third party macros are against EULA, and they're... well... cheating). again, I suspect the no auto-stack as a pre-emptive strike here.

New (P12) loot item. Basically it takes any resource of a given type, mineral, organic, etc, and converts it into a generic of that type. handy for getting shot of all the little scraps of rubbish cluttering up a crafters invent.

I'm shocked that no one has made any jokes about putting all yours eggs in one basket yet!
