Thread: Kimos Kimos everywhere

So I was with a guildie on Lok today. I went early and grabbed up another 1k units of avian meat to store, then the budding armorsmith/TKM came in. He of course is looking for a Gurk King Hide.
We get a couple of missions and go forth. Nothin. He has two waypoints for static spawns. Kings, but no hides. "An hour 'til respawn" he says. I jokingly say we need to go hunt Kimos. Lo and behold, over the next hill from the random spawn of gurks we just dropped is a Dune Kimo. Remember, I was joking. TK boy wades in, he says for the record it aggro'd him. Anyhow, I start slinging rounds and he starts flung poo'ing. I figure, hey, what harm can a trap do, not like it will stick. I toss a Pdart. And it stuck. 2000 xp worth it stuck. Holy goody goody gumdrops Batman. In short order the Kimo's resists were down and it was slow and blinded. (6k xp for yours truly). And the winner, as the kimo could not run off as it was slowed, the guys from Talus. 540+ units of hide (meat sucked and my tailor needs hides) for the harvest. Much rejoicing.
Ok, I am laffing and being all happy. Hey, I am only food buffed, no armor. TK boy is buffed and tincanned. I took 0 damage. His armor got whaled on.
In pops #2. We commence to fighting. #3 pops in a little early, so I trap it and we waste #2 and beat on #3. #4 come in on schedule as did #5. Ok, the Ranger boy was in freaking heaven. He has 7k+ of hides now ( counting the gurks we talked to). And his XP levels rose quite a bit.
Just goes to show that sometimes a doped up Spam in can is good to have around. Not that I couldn't have done it on my own y'understand... yeah, right. Wait til we tell the guildie who had to leave to do stuff - will he be mad or what?
Still can't find Krayts for love nor money, but Kimos, I swear I /ar on Lok and find them everywhere. Long as the meat holds out, we will be going back.
Kari, you can come if you promise not to spout anti-rebellion stuff, being as I am a Yank and Edim is an Aussie. True global co-operation.

Yeah, just what is up with kimo's lately? we had 4 spawn in a 100 meter radius, Since all of us were unbuffed, and two of the party were crafters getting a few combat thrills, we stood REALLY still.
Lucky me i had the maskscent. *Grin*

I take it you didn't see the recent TC update:
- Krayt Dragon Population boom!
I think the krayts will become a bit more common soon.
Still, kimos are a fun hunt.

Spent a couple of hours on TC tonight, ended up on a krayt butchering trip with a bunch of locals. It was BRILLIANT.
Most of the first hour was spent travelling from Skystone, dying, travelling from Skystone, dying some more... there are some angry red mobs out there, lol.
Met up with the rest of the crew out at the jawa/Tusken battlefield where they were splattering the npc's with gusto. Had to be extra careful where we shot as there were ST patrols all over the place.
Next thing a sysmess goes up from Secoot, Master SL, waypoint for a dragon! All headed there pronto. Next 45min was spent wearing the big brutes resists down and then diving in for 2k scout xp from some hide.
First time I've been buffed on TC in, och, pretty much ever, but still no armour and, staying out at range, would have survived a bit behind the meatwall of fencers, TK's and demented carbineers.

Krayt Dragons....
Seen to many of em already (especially when i'm not looking for them).
Region spawns a lot of bantha's, ronto's, razorbacks, as the usual red dotted npc thugs/tuskens.
However, since my main interests is the herb meat, i concentrate on those... How many times it happened i just eradicated a spawn of whatever, or I turn my back to face a krayt.... I come hands short!
Not only the small ones (30K ham), but also the mediums (40k) and occasionaly the uglies (370k)...
And when I announce it on planet or auction, no one is interested. Only one guy i directly spoke to came along, and with a few friends (he as only buffed tkm)we did the 372k one in. Took a while, but nonetheless, noone got hurt (well, the krayt was) and the loot was a pearl.
So if you cannot find a krayt, go look where the wild spawns of bantha's/ronto's/razorbacks are... Chances are high a krayt is/will be nearby.
