Thread: Rescue, tefs, jedi and BHs

Okay, the situation was like this. Grouped with all Imperials, out hunting krayts. A team of Imperial BHs show up and attack the Imperial Jedi in our group. Now because I am also Imperial, I can't help him. But then the medics that heal the jedi get tefed and are attackable by the BHs. So I am messing around trying to get a tef so I can fight and help the jedi, and decide to use rescue. So I target the jedi and hit rescue several times. Suddenly, both BHs are attackable and I can now help our jedi.
The question is, has anyone known of this or used this in the past? I still want to go out and mess with this to confirm that rescue lets me tef a BH of the same faction when attacking a jedi, but that was my experience.

This is interesting. Could add a new angle to my guilds Antarian Ranger/Jedi relationship. I've not tried it myself though. Is /rescue supposed to work against players, I thought it only workedagainstnpcs?

just another reason to be a Ranger!
And I think it would beef up that Antarian Ranger idea of our profession.

Rescue is supposed to work against aggressors, be they creature, NPC or PC.
I am guessing that the BHs didn't stop aggro'ing the Jedi when rescue worked - as a creature would and possibly NPCs - but it did give you the opportunity to die protecting the Jedi.
Still, a Ranger and a Jedi are jumped by BHs. If the Jedi is like 98% of his profession, the next time you see him is after he has rebooted to clear the TEF, having fled the area with his Force Run into the nearest body of deep water. That leaves the Ranger standing there, holding the bag as it were.
What's wrong with that picture? Imperial Jedi?

Healing a jedi with a stimpack also gives you a tef, but you won't be able to attack the BH unless they do an area attack and it hits you, or they attack you directly. My guild isn't exactly liked by imperial guilds or BHs of any faction. We roll deep and have a paddy in pampers protection squad. My ranger skills prove useful as well due to the fact I can see someone coming from 500m out while the paddy is grinding.
