Hi there,
Noticed a post from an Eclipsian Ranger who was finding it difficult to hook up with other like minded huntin', shootin' 'n fishin' types and who commented that this ol' Ranger lifestyle can be a bit lonely sometimes.
Now, I know there's that 'search' function that lets us look for other players by their in game professions, but for one reason or another, sometimes Rangers don't want to be tracked down. Hey, some folk have told me that we're harder to track than jedi...
Don't give up hope tho, instead of pining away out there in the sand, crying into your campfire and STILL not putting it out, remember there's a chat channel just for you...
The Ranger Information Network (or RIN) can be sunscribed to by simply typing
/chatr join RIN
If there's no existing RIN channel you get to be the creator! If there's one already up and running you will autojoin and, in theory, you'll keep being subscribed to the channel each time you log into your toon.
Remember to check the chat channels for your local server as there ARE some local variations. However, for the wandering cross server ranger, RIN is a good place to start looking for contact.

The last publish wiped all the chat channels on Eclipse (not sure about other galaxies). I checked again last night and someone has created RIN again except now it's lowercase "rin"

wasn't me... I've not logged into my 'clipse toon in a week or three

the lowercase rin isnt' the same ol' rin though. Some other people were using as a channel to organize a raid last I saw.

It's become the on and off Rebel Information Network (although mostly off from what I can tell). But it still should work as the Ranger Information Network.

Nice - it's been along time since I've used the chat channels in this game. I had completely forgotten how to join/create one too. Ty Almagill :-)

I have Gorath and Ahazi set up with RIN channels now. Granted I'm not a Ranger by skillset on ahazi, it's still in my play style. So anyone on gorath my character Gout is on alot and on ahazi my character Septic Tank is on just as much. see you all there.

I think it's /chatr (for /chatroom ?) not /chat. Don't forget the "r".

every time i type /chat join RIN my toon says
"chatter_speech:[join RIN]"
What's that all about?
Looks like no Ranger chat for lonely old Seb
