Open ended post to the devs:
Do you actually read these forums? Its been nearly a year with out so much as a single Ranger fix....
If ya plan on not supporting/dumping the class....How about you please just tell us so we can move along to one that will recieve support.
This is not ment as a flame, but i do want to know it I am wasteing my time keeping ranger, or will we recieve some fixes.

Nope no fixes coming. The devs don't read this ever. And it really sucks to be us. We had to walk up hill both ways through our profession barefoot in the snow!
Deep breath. We're not that bad. Its good to be us. I'm happy to be a Master Ranger

What, do you want Thunderheart to come post here every day?
Thunderhearts post on the Ranger board
They are like Santa Claus... the ultimate lurker! They know when you are sleeping... they know when you're awake... they know when you've been bad or good...
Since the Ranger changes don't look like they are going to happen until at least Christmas I think this is a good analogy

General impression from the Dev tracker over the last couple of weeks:
GreenMarine posts in smuggler forum,
JustG posts in BH forum concerning the BH Bugs (not issues or semiworking skilltrees, real bugs)
TH posts another delay for what are turning into the bi-monthly 19 questions.
Any red name showing up gets immediately bombarded by half the board with all the issues, bugs and whatever people can think of.
We are not planned for a revamp. They posted a schedule until JTL and a few rough sketches beyond that. The schedule was inaccurate after about 2 weeks (they did warn us of that at the top) so we won't get anything pre- or immediately post JTL. After the first rangermeet TH posted in our forum. 1 dev post in 6 months is more then most other professions get. Don't compare us to Jedi/Bugged BH/revamp scheduled smugglers but to the other 30 professions.
And all the devs read us, our board is the antidote to our flameriddled, whining brethren boards.
If you want ranger fixed and dev visitors here, convert 30% of the players to our profession. That would increase our ranking on the priority list.
Last, I really don't need a dev to post here weekly : "Great ideas, we'll store them for later when your guys are scheduled for some dev/art time".

the reason we're a refuge is because of a lack of these types of posts/threads.
I'm sure if you want dev attention by way of whining, the BH boards would be glad to hear your gripes, flame you to hell, then whine to the devs about not having /areatrack as an innate ability to BH's at novice level.
In my opinion, I think these types of posts are little more that /cry commands. No offense to the author, but like it was said, TH posted here last week. True, it was a "fluff" post, but at least it showed that we're not forgotten. Just because they don't post here, doesn't mean they don't know what our issues are. I'd like to think that at least one dev has heard of the "drunken Bothan" and perhaps even quoted one or more Rangers amongst themselves as a way to lighten the situation up.
I don't mean to flame and I don't mean to insult. I simply want to moderate our forum. The more self-righteous posts we have, the less our community is a refuge from the others. I love this forum and the people in it and I don't want to see any of us become another group of whiners. We certainly aren't there yet. In fact we're nowhere close at the moment. But I fear any step in that direction only hurts our cause.
So, in that spirit, I'd like to just lighten everyone's spirits. Just get out and enjoy life and thank the devs that we have such a good game. It's not perfect, but what would you do if you didn't have this game? Read? Work? Spend time with your FAMILY?!?!? pfffff. exactly. Just 'cause the proffession doesn't work exactly as we want doesn't mean we don't have worse ways to spend our time.
Peace, Love and Rangering....the Holy Trinity for Rangers and Rangerettes.
