I'm a master tailor and master armorsmith on Eclipse. I've had a good business selling both for quite some time now, yet for some reason, it seems ridiculously hard for me to find anyone who will supply me with hides on a regular basis. I am this close to quitting making armor all together and focusing only on PSG's because my inability to do large factory runs due to a lack of wooly hides makes armor crafting far more painful than it needs to be.

Is 15cpu too little to offer for armor quality wooly hide that is harvestable in the current cycle? 20cpu?

How about for quality leathery?

Note that since I'm both an armorsmith and a tailor, I'll even buy junky quality wooly hides.

And yes, I've spammed the Eclipse forum, with very little luck.

try going into all the major cities (coronet, theed, etc) and do a search for rangers. then ask every single one on that list if they will hunt wooly hides for you. if you are really going to pay 15-20c/unit, i'd think that you'd get alot of business. i know i'd help ya (were we on the same server, heh)

it could also be a help to know which creatures drop the hides you are looking for. everyone knows that crazed durni's drop wooly, i'm talking about on advanced planets though. on endor, wooly hide comes from mantrigues, on dantooine it comes from huurtons, and on dathomir it comes from... hmm, don't believe i've found dath wooly yet.

where else can you get wooly, guys? i know there's more sources than 1 on end and dant, and i know there's dath wooly too. if you know where to look, please post it

Mamiems and Woolamaders drop Wooley hides on Yavin IV. Not sure what kind of OQ they are on Eclipse but up until 2 days ago on Kauri they were 929 OQ and fat & healthy.

Wooly hide prices are still in flux it seems from the nerfage and subsequent fixing of harvesting rates a little while back. It doesn't help that acouple armorsmiths are throwing around credits like it's water right now and making a big fuss about it, which throws off people's idea of how much hides should be worth.

As for endor, gurrecks are probably an easier thing to hunt for endorian wooly. The mantigrues have a nasty disease attack that makes it really painful to hunt sometimes. Architects are willing to pay quite a lot for endorian and they don't care about quality, although if it is quality, armorsmiths are still the better buyer.

mantigues are easy to kill and yield over 300 hides if fat. Just need to approach with care, have mask scent on after you are in 64, range, thenwalk out so it triggers the check and causes it to go aggressive. Since your out of its detect range it aggros its neighbors and you get a big wooly bird brawl fest. Walk close, nail each with a bleed shot and walk back and watch. (You can do this by walking into the 64m range but it aggros you more often). I got 5k endorian wooly hide in less than a hr that way 2 nights ago.

I am on Eclipse, and I have been selling mine on the Bazaar. This is only because I had a Master Tailor ask me if I had any, and I informed him that in a week (due to not being able to play again for 5 days) that I would have some for him. I ended up with 5K of Tat Wooly Hide, but he stated that he didn't like the OQ. It was a bit low but that was what was on the cycle that week. I am ony down to 2K of it left. The OQ isn't terribly low, but lower than what he wanted. I haven't spit ata Bantha since, due to being kind of sick of seeing them, and just flat out exploring. I cannot provide for you on a definite time table and quantity, it all depends on playing time, but send me an email to Zonjai in game and let me know how much you are looking for. I will see what I can do.I should be online Sunday night I will try to look you up then.

By the way, on Eclipse there is some very high OQ leathery hide >940 onTat. This is as of Saturday night. I am located between Bestine and Anchor also.
