Couldnt find this in faq sorry...Is there a cap for creature harvesting ? Or could a mranger now gain VERY high harvesting mods?

Well, there aren't any known SEA's that affect harvesting, so the best you could get was +150(?), another +10 for being a leezard (does one of the JTL races get a +10 to harvesting?), +veghash, +a harvesting droid, and grouping with another master Ranger. None of this will allow you hit a cap of any kind, other thatn the fact that you just can't physically get anymore of a mod/bonus.

Caveat....it does not appear the harvesting droids give you a bonus if you are ina group, so if you are in agroup, don't count the droid.

I reported the possible droid bug, if indeed it is one. I don' think it is. but reported it nonetheless as a good Correspondent.
And two Masters grouped on veghash get a lot of stuff per harvest.

Don't forget the +5 Harvesting you get in the fourth Scout/Ranger-related FS box.
I'm curious, though, why would they exclude droids in the wholeharvesting bonus thing?

I am referring to droids in a group, ie. sending aharvest droid to harvest while you are in a group with another Scout/Ranger seems to ignore the group bonus (probably a result of the droids ignoring grouping with just a single Scout/Ranger, which I think is intentional).

Originally droids and pets were excluded from the groups harvesting abilities. So that a scout/ranger didnt lose 40% of his harvest when running with pets and droids. I think we are still seeing that here. And i dont see a fix that gives it us both ways.
We asked for droids and pets to be removed as part of a groups harvesting calculations because it hurt us. If we turn around and ask for it to come back there are two issues. First we are being hypocrits for trying to get the best of both worlds. And second because every soloist would keep a droid or pet out with them to get the bonus.

There's no cap, only diminishing return.
The entire creature harvest skill mod + droid skill mod bonus + veghash skill mod + "group bonus %" is a mess that not even the Devs know exactly.
A 20% increase in the skill from 100 to 120 means next to nothing. A 20% increase in harvest is a big deal ( well, 1/5
).
I don't have hard numbers but I believe a top of the line droid gives a master ranger about 5% more in actual harvest yield, which in turns means that grouping with Joe Blow Anybody and getting the 20% is of much more benefit.
They did a lot of work on new droids and with the recent harvest changes, deducting funds for structures directly from your bank account, the almost there galaxy vendor search they are doing their best to cancel out that work.
The recent influx of former Ultima Online staff isn't going by unnoticed, for better and for worse

So Master Ranger/TKM goes out on Yavin to get some animal bone tonight. I pulled 70-120 animal bone per creature. This was far higher then i was used to. Then i grouped with another scout 1/0/0/0. He would harvest 80 i'd get 160 or almost exactly double his haul. Is double worth all our of our skill point cost?
Um... well tonight it was. I got a HUGE haul of organics even from Yavin because of the group bonus and from the new master ranger bonus (all unbuffed of course)
I cant even imagine what i would have been able to get with veghash. But my unbuffed food kit doesnt leave room for that usually.

I was wondering about this to. About the fact that although we are at 150 now are we really at 125 and dont know it. My harvests last night were big and im really happy about it. But id sure like some confirmation one way or another on this.

Gahhhhh! Most skill mods stop at 100, the most you can add from clothes/SEAs +25, there for most mods stop at 125. Many mods have effective caps, as a rifleman 97 speed makes it so that every attack you have will fire once per second with any gun made. Once per second is the cap not 97 speed. 97 speed just runs you into the cap. Then some things just don't have caps, Rifle accuracy comes to mind.
