Since the patch, I have now been in teh largest group I have ever been in- we maxed out at three people.
There was I, a Novice rifleman and rising Ranger, my friend Scaalbac, a Novice Scout, and Mecki, a novice karate kid. Mecki was buffed, I had some canape and brandy, and Scaalbac had nothign besides a set of cermeonial armor.
At first, I was tracking shaupots and we were sort of just putzing around a static spawn, killing everything. I was pleased to find that I was teh one doing all the killing-Mecki would punch at it, Scaalbac would blast away with a CDEF rifle (we never told the poor chap that hewould do bettershooting spitballs), but I was the one, blasting the animal's head off- ot at least, with all the headhits, not much could be left. We had some fun watching Scaal the Brav take on a Shaupot and get incapped twice, then Meck and I dispatched it in about twentyseconds. Then, we went to find animals so I could make us some camo, but we got bored looking for butterflies, so we went to Moenia and checked ot the Narglatch cave.
Forget they are all diseased vermin, it was awesome! Forget that they only drop one hide! It was one of teh best experiences in this game yet.
Mecki went ahead, being the only one completely buffed and armored, and I went in the middle, masked, and Scaal was in the rear. Mecki would draw a bunch of animals onto her, Scaal and I went go prone and fire away, with rifles and traps.
There was one time when I was sure I was going to get it, but an Imperial Commando arrived, and, seeing that we were of the same faction, proceeded to set teh narglatch to flame. After I had thanked him, we continued into the cave.
Scaal, who had satyed in Theed for a couple minutes to complete a trade, did have some trouvle finding us in the cave. Mecki and I fought our way back to him, healed him up, and then continued on.
Anyways, in my experiences, there is only one thing better than this one, which is gunning on a Decimator. But, I always find taht it is more fun to hunt in groups, even if just with a single friend, than to solo, and is better thatn ever with the patch.

Last night I taught one of my guild members how to fish. We spent the better part of an hour doing that. He was laughing and actually enjoying it. Then he decided to learn the ways of the unbuffed fighter with me. So we went to Yavin to get some animal bone.
Without being attached to a timer and having to work together we didnt realize we had been fighting non-stop for over three and half hours. I started him small and then we moved up to the best and brightest Yavin had and finished the night off with a couple Crazed Geonoisans (three actually) that were spawning outside of the labor outpost. We had nothing to lose so we took them out as well.
But we were having so much fun as a group where earlier in the night i had gone solo for a few hours it reminded us why we have a large guild. You get stuck in a soloist state of mind. We're heading back to Yavin tonight and dragging a couple more Felons with us to take on some kliknik queens and maybe the Geo Lab unbuffed. Clone, insure and go. Got my wife Doc/Rifle going with us to give us some high powered backup. Im actually looking forward to it.
There are a lot of reasons i was thinking of cancelling 2 of my 3 accounts. My crafters become a to-do list with 1000 emails of orders. Normally something you want. But im sick of crafting grenades i want to have fun again. And grouping with a fellow guildie/scout last night reminded me why I play. Oh yeah and Teamspeak helps.

Yesterday I grouped with TKM J, the person I have known the longest in the game, and we were gonna go hunt rancors. Sigh... no missions. So we go riding - maskscent just gave me 200 pts, hold on. Ancient Rancors, a wild spawn. I think it was Rancors - 0, Nightsister Rangers - 0, the two insane players for teh win - 11 Rancors @ 880 units meat per and about 4 Nightsister Rangers dropped. Then we hit our missions and made some cash.
Besides the cash, we had fun. Sticking traps, kiting the sisters and the rancors into Makloks so we could quickly heal. Taunting (spatial, not the skill) with bad movie lines... we were cracking each other up.
That was what this game was meant to be about.

The Guildie I went fishing and unbuffed hunting with last night was a former BH who had racked up quite a few kills in his time. To hear him on teamspeak "Its trying to get away" was just hilarious. Now i have a few more victims in my guild who want to try the unbuffed group thing. And we're thinking of hitting the Geo Lab this way. When you have no fear from death the game is a lot more fun.

On Gorath sometimes there is a "Retrohunt" going on. No Buffs, no Armor besides Bone/Chitin, no high end Weapons and even no food. Hunting like it was in the begining.
It is a lot of fun. Last time we went to Dathomir hunting Rancors and there were just a few how had to clone
.

Great Guide Fodder. If by chance you could go into more detail about using specials. Also if you have any tips/strategy with rifleman and going unbuffed. Thanks.
P.S. Your guide is good enough almost to make me want to create a character on your server and go hunting with you.

Fodder650,
Would it be possible for you write a guide or create a thread with tips on your unbuffed hunting experience. Thanks
