Was thinking and ive always liked those guard towers you see on some ofthe random NPC spawn bases where you can run up inside them and considering there turning rangers into a combat proffession if the new camps could have these in them with an option to load in a mini turret that you must control.
once the camp is taken down you would losethe turret of course but it would make a nice tactical PvP item that wouldnt be to unbalanceing but youd have to fight your way through the people and into the tower to kill the ranger while hes attacking with a turret.....They would act like normal camps now other than you can attack in them and not go dead.

If you haven't read the revamp document from Helios. Scouts are getting all camps and rangers will no longer be able to place camps.

i have read them and Rangers are going combat oriented but this camp is combat oriented as well. Even if its just a master box, Ranger still requires Scout to get why can they not have a camp that goes along with there new upgrade and fits in nicely with it?

Well, while Ranger will require Scout...it'll only require one line of Scout. And it's not the camping line, but the exploration line (note: all details subject to change without notice). The establishment of camps are pretty much all Scout when the revamp hits. If we'd still had anything camping related as a pre-req for Ranger 2.0, this would quite possibly be viable.
Many things will change once the new Ranger is born....

its a good idea, and i would like to see it, but my opinion is to wait and make sure that the revamp ranger will be a good thing before we start enhancing it.
secondly, this idea would seem more appropriate to a squad leader than a ranger if you consider it a military structure.
