..would it be better to just dabble for the /areatrack skill, or be better to master the profession?

It depends on what else you are interested in doing. I have always planned on mastering the Ranger profession and I haven't changed my mind. But if you are someone who wants to be a BH, better just to dabble.

Yeah, I'm going for BH and thought Tracking would compliment my bounty hunter skills very well.
Though after re-reading Holo's thread, i'm leaning on going for master Ranger since they'll have so many neat abilities in the upcoming patch.
(I'm more PvE anyways. I'm not going BH so I can be uber in PvP)
