I have just gotten master rifleman, i will be playing around with it for a few days. However, i was wondering if it was crazy to drop master rifleman and work for master ranger?

Any opinions on what would be better more provide more fun would be appriciated.

You should be able to do both but with no points left to dabble in anything else.

It's all just a matter of which is more important to you and your playstyle. I use Pistoleer to support my Ranger profession, but I'm leaving out a little Pistol to have some healing. I certainly could have done it the other way and used some of the Ranger skills to support Master Pistoleer, but I'd rather give up a line in Pistol than give up a line in Ranger.

the difference between master rifleman and 4-4-4-4 is huge from what i've heard. comparatively, the difference between master ranger and 4-4-4-4 is not that big of a deal. i would advise you keep master rifleman, and if you are still intent on mastering ranger, weigh that against your other skills.

getting master in both requires 232 points, and you would have enough left for a couple things, just not much.
