Can someone please explain to me why or what I am doing wrong here? I have novice ranger, I approach a lair of mobs, group mobs, that are white or blue to me: maskscent on, I go to prone, I fire my healthshot2 then my body shots. Everything is fine, the poor monster I am shooting at has no idea where I am, he looks around while I'm plugging him, GREAT! Except that now every other mob at the lair knows where I am immediately and they all run to attack me! The one mob that should know I'm here, the one getting plugged by my gun, stand oblivious, while all his friends, from meters away, run and gang up on me like I have a neonarrow above my head that says"Camouflaged Bothan below".

What's the point? I mean if with camo and maskscent I'm going to get noticed right away, why bother with the set up? Am I doing something wrong here? Any advice on how I can cull one group mob from the heard and attack it with out all of its buddies seeing me and pouncing? I mean I understand, its a GROUP mob, but there should be some way, with practice, time and a little bit of skill for a Solo Ranger to pull one mob away and kill it, 1 on 1. Its not like I want to run in and attack the lair Rambo style, I just want to HUNT, IE: get one away from the group and into the best position for the kill, kill it and get my pelts (BTW why can't we skin NPCs? I want the ability to scalp my victims!) Rinse, repeat.

(BTW this is both PRE and POST patches, this is how its been since I got the maskscent skills 4 weeks ago, when u got it asa scout)

A suggestion would be, if the camo kits are not going to solve the rest o the mobs seeing me, how about giving the ability to make a call thatattracts mobs away from the group? Like a deer or Turkey call?

Anyway, any advice or explanation would be appreciated!

That's an excellent idea. Although I heard that they are considering some kind of 'lure' trap. It seems a little strange because the group finding you instantly is obviously a bug. At the very least they should make thier own detection checks.
