Thread: Scouting XP opportunity coordinate solo groups!

Just wondering if any other Rangers out there are using this procedure:
Go to places where solo grouping (seems to be a universal constant) and promote recruiting into the solo group by advertising a free camo kit application. Or join a solo group and camo up everyone in it.
There is something in the help holo that talks about gaining Scouting XP when the player you have applied the camo kit slips by creatures/NPCs that would have aggroed them.
I used this to great effect in the 3rd and 4th Rangering Wayfaring skill boxes...especially on Dantooine, where everyone is screaming to get into a solo group, as they stream off the transport in the Dant Mining Outpost.
Also as side benefit is that people ask "what is a camo kit"? It introduces players to Rangering concepts as benign as camo kits.
The Dantooine Camo Kitrequires DantooineScaly Hide (think Pickets) and Dant Herbivore Meat (bols of all varieties). Craft your camo kit near a WDG crafting station and you can get anywhere from 8 to 17 applications. I think the resource amounts of the hide and meat are in the 40's for each camo kit (up to 17-18) applications.
Easy to do if you also communicate to your group mates that you would like to share in the harvesting of hides or meat.
Some players seem to appreciate the fact that you took the time to recruit for the solo group. You get passive Scouting XP. They get camo kit masked and don't get aggroed on the way to their missions. It's a "win-win" situation all around!
