Alright, my curiosity has finally annoyed me to the point where I post.

Well within the context of stuff you'd be interested in as a BH, if it weren't for us rangers, it's debatable the availability of the armour you need, or the buffs you may take, would be as large.

Our most "marketable" ability is asa harvestor of creature resources. Yes any level of scout can do this, but we can do it better.

We also can track animals, NPC's and players, something you would be famililar with. If you are doing some sort of quest which includes creatures we're good to have around, apart from tracking, we have powerful traps to slow them down and inflict state effects. We can even apply cammoflauge to you so you're not as likely to be spotted by any critters

We can even healyour wounds, you just have to sit in a camp made by one of us.

In terms of PvP, we don't do much, but we are masters are terrain negotiation, which Iwould imagine makes us good for recon.

That's what we do.

I didn't use buffs or uber armour, so why did the combat revamp have to spoil my game?

We laff at Bounty Hunters - "The ultmate hunters" (must.... stop....giggling ) who, without droids and waypoints, get lost in cities looking for their snitches.

Other than that, who do you think supplies the docs with big stacks of meat, tailors and armorsmiths with large stacks of hides, and helps people actually find creatures, NPCs and players?

Time for Fred to post his commonplace quote of what AR is? =).

Rangers are your wilderness masters. If it's PvE, we're the ones you want in group. And with the one day revamp, that will be more so true =).

Hey JB I don't want to snitch on fellow rangers, but I know of a few rangers who get lost in cities, including me.

Ah fellow rangers who get lost in the urban sprawls. Let me impart some very very secret ranger knowledge, that will give you the power to navigate cities like you would the great outdoors.

we make freakin' sweet camps.

and if mixed with a good combat profession, we are a one man/woman organics harvesting machine. (my all-time best organics trip to-date: 95k dath carnivore meat in one 3 hour buff)

we are almost every crafters' best friends. BE's need us to track critters for them to sample DNA. CH's need us to help them track down those elusive baby animals. Chefs need us for meat and milk. Tailors and Armorsmiths need us for hides and bones. i could go on all day.

we are also a very rare breed, that tends to avoid cities in order to enjoy the simpler things out in the wilderness.

we are some of the few players in the game that can truely appreciate the level of detail put into the game, as we've seen all of the neat little things that devs have put into the worlds. (strange piles of rocks, mazes, and other little things that serve no real purpose other than eye-candy)

and, most of us truely enjoy our profession, and would never want to drop it for anything.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

I am also curious about ranger (that is why I am here lol). Not sure I want to give up my second combat profession though (and to grind scout for the 4th time lol, I really hate traps 1-2)

One question about traps, are they working well against high-level creatures? Does state effects stick? Scout traps are pretty uselss IMO

Wish I tested ranger when I had master scout (but as usual had used up my skill points). You seem to have some fun perks like tracking.

WHAT?
Only one combat profession? How on earth will you survive?
[/Sarcasm]

No offence, just thought that was funny
