I have in mind others and I'd like to know your opinion.

I think that the bf is a problem even bigger than wounds. Infact you can heal yourself just sitting in a camp BUT u can't remove bf there. Suppose to be on Yavin doing a big order of meat or hide. Sure u can travel to Coronet for the small price of 2 tickets. But there are 1 ro 2 cantine on that planet in the outposts, but of course there are never entertainers there. So why don't take entertainer novice to self-remove the bf? As the matter of facts we have 140 sp in Scout/Ranger and it is supposed that other 92 sp are in one combact elite prof (for me rifleman, other tka and so on). So we have just other 18sp left.

Atm I have medic 1000 for self healing in fight using stimps B but I'm really thinking that have entertainer 0010 or 0100 should be a valid alternative.

If there are basic profs trainer I can think to do continue switching from medic/entertainer and eventually artisan to locate resources. It costs only 100!

What do u think about this? Who stated that a novice entertainer is better than novice medic? And how long has a ppl to dance to remove some 300-400 bf self-healing?

Thanks in advance

the devs will NOT allow players to have a skill that removes their radar presence.

straight up.

9 months, I would have told you that the devs would never let Jedi's outnumber other elite proffessions. I would have told you that the developers of this game were going to give Ranger the updates that they had been promised. Why would I have told you those things? because that's what the devs were telling the players. Yet....as we all know, neither of these came true. No offense iammergeir, of course. I am simply saying that the reason that most people say stealth will never happen is because the devs said so.

i for one would like to think outside of the devs box. everyone knows that there are bugs where players disappear and their radar blip leaves. They're there...but not visible. Now you take that bug and you code it into the game so that you can perform it at will (but not moving and not firing).

If you have some solid arguments about why this will never get in other than "the devs said so" and "it'll overpower the Ranger'", I'd love to hear them, because every other person who seems to think we won't get stealth uses these two arguments, and no other ones. Frankly I find issue with both on a logical level, so if you have any more compelling arguments as to WHY we wouldn't get stealth, feel free to share them.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

"By adding the radar concealment I believe that would give Rangers a perfect role in PVP mass battles, being able to locate enemy players and givetheir own side a tactical advantage in the battle. Bounty Hunters and Smugglers get additional weapon skills, however I see them as more combat classes than a Ranger should be, isnt our whole modus operandi about stealth? "

Hmmm... I never said anything about giving rangers weapons. In fact I dont ever think I said (in this post) what skills rangers should be given other than "stealth." I have no idea why u are bringing up Bounty Hunters and Smugglers

"Ranger traps may "Suck" but the higher level in trapping allows the traps to work more frequently, therefore you can use the scout traps against larger creatures than a basic scout can. For Riflemen the adhesive trap is a life saver, allowing you to get away and re-approach your target without the use of burst run. Which is another story, the burst run of a Master ranger is incredibly quick, far superior to that of a scout. I have never tried a melee class with Ranger but I would think the Area effect stun and blind would be used, I know my TKA on Bria would find them useful instead of having to use specials which cause less damage to gain the effect."

Sorry RANGER traps suck. Sure we have a higher success at trapping than scout but that is not the point. In fact I dont understand your point. All in all for me being a melee ranger most traps are useless for me. I stun/blind mobs while also inflicting damage, without the long trapping delay time. If i do use traps, I only use wire mesh and occassionally phenacine darts. Mostly though I use traps to pull mobs ( great for pulling rancors ).

"Camps are very useful when solo hunting which is what I do most of the time, when you have a contract for 40k of hides a camp can mean the difference between following tracks to find your next target or having to go back to town to find a medic. As personally I have no medic skills at all."

I use my camps for rp purposes or for the crafting station in the HFTB. Thats it.

"I never noticed your reference to radar concealment, oh there wasnt one. Why would we need chameleon armour when we have camoflage kits? If the dev's implemented a system where Rangers could conceal themselves from radar, but allow them to detect other Rangers of lower levels via tracking I can see Rangers becoming a part of any attacking or defensive group, allowing prior knowledge of attack by the defenders and/or a better tactical picture to allow for flanking etc in base attacks."

As far as "radar concealment," yes I never made a reference to it. I've only made a reference to STEALTH. I chose not to be specific because all in all I wanted to discuss the ranger from a SW universe perspective and he/she relates to a SWG perspective. I'm all for radar concealment but this isnt the place for what stealth should look like. No U want Fred's post for that discussion. Simply stated the "chameleon armor" as u put it could be the item that ALLOWS radar concealment.

"I do understand your points concerning the PvP aspects of the Ranger class, basically Rangers have no PvP skills worth a damn, however, I just dont see Rangers being that involved in PvP unless you take the Rifleman approach, tracking a player/group with a TEF and taking them out with a few Mind Shot 3/ Sniper Shot for DBwould seem far more preferable to me than approaching them and relying on melee combat, even if we do get a +10 ranged/melee defence at master, a pure combat class is always needed for PvP, whatever else you take is pretty irrelevent."

Exactly. My point is that ranger is given no PVP viable skills other than the limited use of /areatrack. Based on the SW universe, a ranger seems to have been a primarily combat-oriented character, therefore the SWG ranger should be given more skills that allow them a more significant role in PVP. There are many ways that this could be done. Without a major revamp to the ranger profession and additional skills being added to the profession, having traps work on NPCs, PC pets, and PCs could add to the ranger profession having a GCW role. Giving rangers better def bonuses would help. AS it stands that +10 we get is a slap in the face.
