After enjoying the whole profession grind, I have finally returned to playing my character.

I had tossed up several combinations of ranger dabbling and combat profs before finally deciding to be true to my love for this profession. I sacrificed the full 140 points to become a Master once again. I do not regret it one bit.

I was once a pikeman/ranger. I have dropped the pike and picked up the rifle (unlocked on it, kinda stuck on it) to pursue the lifestyle of ranger. Funny thing is I play my ranger far more than my Jedi, as it is unique and special.

What makes ranger so special? The community. NO other profession holds such a brotherhood (and sisterhood :smileywink as the rangers. While every other board flames and whines about this or that, the rangers remain relatively calm and reasonable. We are all helpful, though at times patience is strained by BHs and other such dabblers asking questions that appear in stickied threads.

I still have some issues feeling useful beyond pure resource gathering, but I am extremely valued within my guild. I am trying to get away from the "money grind". People need resources and I try to provide. I use my skills as well as my knowledge of the game to maximize my harvests and serve my customers.

Some day I dream of rangers being more than the **edit** child of the Devs, but until then I will enjoy what I have.
