hey All,

Yesterday I did the whole entire quest. it took me about 4-5 hours though, however the end reward is well worth it. Having Ranger tracking helps sooooooooo much in this, as for 3 out of the 4 missions you have to find random people/animals in the desert.

When you complete all 4 missions you go back to the hermit in the cave and he gives you a Ring that allows you to revice yourself if you die up to 50 times. However you can only use it once every 23 hours. You also get this orb that you can put in your house which is made from 4 pieces you get from the quests.

You can offer your services as Calc had stated in a previous post. The end rewards are definitely worth this effort.

I have to say, doing this quest without /areatrack must be a nightmare. I was lucky and managed to do it in about 5 hours... the Hermit Quest guide in the Game Guide forum is very good.

I have only finished one portion of the Quest and that is the moisture farmer part. I just happened across him while trying to tame a cupa. I noticed a white blip and kinda wondered what a white dot was on that part of the map. It was cool to just happen across it.

For the rest I intend to wander the desert and doing the rare areatrack.

Found the Courage mark (the boar) within five minutes of areatracking last night. Then I tried the moisture farmer, and had no luck at all after an hour. I'll try again tonight.

I started the quest at the insistance of someone needing a tracker (yes I did some tracking for hire) Spent a hour searching for the moisture farmer to no avail. I did get payed for my time though which I though was nice of the guy since a couple of times I had been burned. I went in expectin to not get paid to tell the truth, I was just interested in honing my tracking skills and figured this to be a good oppertunity. I had fun, and learned a few things alont the way. One: as has been mentioned before in another thread, waiting ten seconds for the spawns to generate is a must to tracking. Two: not everyone out there asking for your help is going to burn you. I think if you do this quest for others, go in with the attitude that you make the experiance fun or not.
