WHOOPS! Hit TAB space! ^^^^

Anyway... Including: Cammo makes radar blip invisible, npc traps, ranger specified weapons, massive creature harvests, etc... and a lot of other things mentioned on idea boards.

HOWEVER. I have yet to see any official responses from any Dev on these boards. Perhaps I am not looking in the right place... if so please make a post directing me in the right direction.

If not...

DEVS - Throw us a Frickin' bone here.

There is indeed a Corr Summit at the end of this month. It will focus mainly on Combat and how professions relate to combat. I will push as many ideas as I can while I am the Summit, but I expect to focus on Rangers in Combat (most of our skills are affected by combat).

As for a revamp, there is no revamp scheduled at this time. The current Dev process is to make Combat related changes in small pieces for the time being. We may or may not get a tidbit here or there, but I have not been told anything concrete.

To summaraize, there are no scheduled changes to the Ranger profession and the Corr Summit will be related to Combat changes and not to profression revamps.

Thank you very much for the respond on this post. There are so many rumors and speculations made in-game about these revamps. It is good to find a credible source. Thanks again

Hey calc, do you think the devs would be interested in /TRACK or isnt it in line with what is being discussed?

I will certainly bring it up. I will make a post in the next week or two with what I will focus on. Here is a quick list:

  • Ranger defense mods

  • Harvesting bonus

  • Spawn Rates

  • /track

  • stealth

Ah cool, so its more to do with how combat is handled atm rather than wide ranging additions and tweaks?

On the point about stealth, i can see oh so clearly the devs never implementing and type of stealth for any profession, i'd personally ask about it but not concentrate my efforts on it. I would be great if stealth was an option and ability to rangers, but i cant see it ever being seriously considered by the devs, ive read too many negative dev responses in the old rifleman forums (pre powergamer crowds) about stealth and it just seamed they wanted nothing to do with it in any form.

Ranger defense mods

Oh ya make sure you mention desiese/poison resists in there.

Ive gota few ideas on how forage can help us in that regard, but not sure if i should post it. But yeah you should make sure it gets into the conversation.

Most medicines come from the wild and survivalist are able to use certain plants and organics to boost the imune system, resist poinsonous effects generally aid in survival. I think rangers should encompass this and push for changes in this regard, without getting all doctorish and talking about making stims and heal packs etc, id rather thing of us as being able to chew some root from a plant.

To be honest..I only added stealth to the list the extra times for Fred's sake . I will propose it, and they will say yes or no, and we will all move on...it really wasn't mean to imply that it would be the most important topic...heck..it IS at the bottom of the list after all.

On the defence mods portion calc, I think the addition of the doc buffs to resist poison and disease is our in for that. There is now a sistem for sure in game where a character has a chance to resist disease and poison, from the new doc buffs. All we would like is to have an innate amount of that built up through ranger. We would of course still be susesptable to the 5% chance to resist and 5% chance to get hit no matter what. Basically meaning a master ranger with uber doc buffs is not still not impervious to CM stuff. But it would probably be limited to only the 5% at that point. This defence bonus is intended to be all around disease and poison resist right? And not just vs animals? It's a way for ranger to have a roll in PvP, and help with the effectivess of CM.

And then of course our damage reduction/dodging/ what ever vs animal damage.

No traps? I can see how camps might not necessarily fit in combat discussions but traps definately should (if only to give the 5% min success rate/95% max success rate that poisons and such now have). But even camps should be mentioned (as they should help recover fromand prepare for combat).

Edit: Forgot a word.

I'm kinda curious as to what threads this guy is referring to? I have yet to see any posts(besides players) that talk of any kind of revamp. Just wondering what the buzz is about.

What ever they do . If theres anything more on tracking must be Master ranger to get it.

Traps on lvl 4. PVP traps Master. Would also benice if master could get a stealth of guille or such with the cammo. but required to have the sniper counter sniper tree of rifleman to use it. but just my thoughts.

Ranger is the most fun ive had its amazing how you dont notice when you get xp to your next lvl.
