Thread: im not a ranger yet....but....think this is a good idea?

i just heard about the ranger revamp, and was thinking (bad idea) do you guys think that a MSL/M ranger is a good idea, would it work or fall on its face?

It works fine.. You get the combat mods like any other profession, you get the weapons SL has. Just group with a droid or pet and you're set. I mean, I've got SL 0300 and it works good, so I figure mastering it would do well for some as well.

Well.. considering the new ranger will be the toon that stays out of view, and the new squad leader is going to be /shouting every few minutes, and you will almost certainly get less defense mods overall, it'll be match made in hell. But that's purely speculation from my side.

very true, i didn't think of that......problem is i love the ideas of the new squad leader and the new ranger.........i just don't know what to do.......ahhhhh

Well it'll be more than 4 months for the new Ranger, I'd imagine. But new SL is coming like next week or the week after. So go with MSL and see how it works, should do fine for awhile. As a ranger you naturally lack defenses anyway 
so just take advantage of your defenses in MSL while you can.

hmmm true, good point......thanks for the heads up, but i think i'll like both communities, it seems that rangers and squad leaders are a very mature bunch, which is what i look for. i'll play squad leader till i get bored, then switch
