Oh well, so much for Ranger. At least master scout is still intact. They should just make this a new profession and leave current Ranger as is.
I wanted to play a tracking trapper and scout type character, not a spy/spec ops type toon. I thank all you for convincing SWG to dump my favorite part of the game.

I don't know what you mean by saying all of us wanted this. Some did and some didn't. I love being an outdoorsy type but getting upset because Ranger finally is on the devs radar is no reason to hold disdain for the forum community. Just remember, being a Ranger is all in your playstyle not in your skill points.

And you'll still have all the same "outdoorsy" skills if you just take up Master Scout, with the exception of the removal of Tracking. The new Ranger profession is more military, if you don't like it, Scout will serve more or less the same purpose, and you'll use a lot less skill points in taking it up.

You take things a little to literal. When outsiders say "Americans are lazy" they don't mean each and every one of us, jus the majority. As for the playstyle. Areatrack, PvE Trapping, Terrain Nego were all critical skills that allowed my playstyle.

/agree. If you don't like the future of ranger, just drop it and keep scout. You'll still have most of the abilities you currently have but with more skill points available.

PvE trapping never existed, you only got PvCreature trapping, now you get PvE trapping. Terrain Negotiation is CURRENTLY all in scout (except crawl speed). Everything in Ranger that works is boing moved to Scout except camo, and we are finally getting a Ranger profession that makes sense. I.e. its is an elite OFFSHOOT of Scout, not scout plus.
What exactly are you complaining about? The fact that you can do EVERYTHING you did before, plus MORE, for LESS. Yes, I can see how horrible that is.
