Back a week or so ago I looked at Ile's badges and was kind of embarrased. Here I was closing in on Master Ranger and my character had two whole exploration badges. Now before you go thinking I have not been getting around, I have. I have walked huge portions of every planet, including a 6km unarmored, unbuffed, pets stored walk of Dathomir which got close to the sarlaac but apparently not the right spot to get the badge.

Anyway I decided to go out and get some badges... being obsessive compulsive, I gotpicked up allthe exploration badges. a quick check revealed that I was virtually completed with the force sensitive requirements so I set out to pick up that inner glow as well. So over the past few days Isoloed the Jabba, Nym, and Warren themeparks with nothing but my mid levelpets and my minimal rifle skills.

So this left me with a glow and a wait for the old geezer with the sparkling rock. Knowing nothing I could do would make him appear any faster so I had to find some way to kill the time. I looked at all my skills and decided to lear more about mask scent and camo. So I headed over to Yavin and started wandering around, no pets rifle put away, relying totally on my Ranger skills to survive. Sneaking past red spawn after red spawn and getting bolder each time I started collecting eggs so that I had something to show for my time, as it turned out I also picked up enough scout points to not only finish a tier IV box in ranger but half of my final tier IV box.

Two and a half hours later I had over 2800 eggs (much to the delight of the guild chef) a ton of XP and I have seen areas of Yavin that have no other reason for existing other than for exploration and to make the map square. Not to mention a much better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of our masking skills and our burst run and terrain negotiation bonuses.

I was particualarly impressed with the vast swaths of burned out forest littered with Death Star remains and stranded rebs, imps, and salvagers. Also after playing this game for as long as I have I found out for the first time that many parts in Yavin have a relaxing jungle background sound it was very tempting to find a deep part of the forest and set up a camp just to relax and listen.

I have decided to take the whole FS/Jedi thing in a relaxed come as come may fashion and just visit the village whenever I am near capping XP through normal game play. I tried getting a grinding template and grinding XP with my Naritus account and ended up getting so frustrated with the game that I stopped playing it. Now that I have professions that I enjoy I think I will play them as normal and make Jedi come to me.

Sadly I did kill one creature before leaving the planet as untouched as possible, the dang thing followed me the last 500m to the starport and I could not launch with it still attacking me so I shot it. To top it off the meat had terrible stats.
