While browsing here and there I found a link to a Jedi thread that explained what head/leg/body hit are going to do post CU. They seem to think this will actually hit that body part (rather than pool) so you may be able to target unarmoured parts of your opponent.
While reading I also noticed a reference to "Force Cloak" that allowed the Jedi to go invisible. They don't know as yet what restrictions there are on this (prone, etc, like with rifleman), but I guess we should keep an eye on this for a ranger version.
From the thread for those not wanting to risk travelling there;
JEDI LIGHTSABER DISCIPLINE INFO:
Saber Body Hit, Leg Hit, and Head Hit all hit that specific portion on the target’s body, which can be used to tactically hit unarmored areas.
JEDI FORCE WIELDER DISCIPLINE INFO:
Force Cloak allows a Jedi to become "invisible". The exact details and restrictions of this ability are unknown at this time. Gained at Force Subjugate IV.
So there we are.

No not true. It states clearly in the CU docs that because Wookies and Trans, and I suppose the Ithorians could be targeted on their unarmored parts these areas, such as hands and feet will not longer be targetable by the combat system.

But all species can wear chest/leg/head armor.
I took it to mean chest/leg/head too, not hands/feet which, as you mentioned, is out of bounds for hits. I kinda got the impression that if you mixed and matched armour you paid the whatever the highest hindrance was, so if you've 'mixed' chest plate, with the rest unarmoured you still pay full hindrance so I guess no ones gonna bother going half-armoured for this to make a difference. But, as with so many things atm, I guess we need more things opened to us on TC5 before we know for sure (then it could change before live anyway)

well, I just hope that I can still be a Jedi and a Ranger post-CU. 2 Chars: 1 Jedi, 1 Ranger. Hope they both dont get shafted.

On the force cloak issue i brought this up in the corr forums. Although a kick in the nuts as we dont get anything it doesnt in anyway mean we cant have skills and ability involving stealth and movement. Ill try get you some feedback on this.
