Is there an easy way to find out which creatures produce certain meat than ahving ot go through them all on http://www.swgcreatures.com? You can search by planet but not by what they produce as far as I can see...

Yes go to either SW creatures web site or to SW crafters web sit. The first is the best if you are just wanting to know which creature gives what meat.

I know you can check http://www.swgcreatures.com but what I mean is you can't search by certain types of meat can you? Seems I have to go through hug long lists before I can find out what which creatures to bother with...either that os just kill everything!!

If you are referring in game, then no only by using the examine as a Ranger can you find out lots of detail about a creature and you can only do this one at a time not be a search feature. If you are on SW creature.com then go to the advanced search. there click on the type of meat you want, the planet you want to find it on and click search. All the creatures with that meat type that have been verified in game will be listed for you.

actually, you can get that info there... here's how:

click on advanced search (just underneath the creature search box)...

from here, you can select which planet you wish to search for with a checkbox... default is all planets, but if you want a specific resource you'll need to make sure to select it here...

a little further down you'll see some scroll boxes where you can select the resource types... "meat type" includes: avian, carnivore, domestice, fish, herbivore, insect, reptillian, and wild...

you can also cross reference that with any of the other stats... if you want easy critters, adjust CL... low kinetic resists... armor... even other resources, if you're looking for a certain type of bone too...

after you've done the search you can sort it... usually, higher CL = higher yields of meat...

EDIT: or... whatjolandir said... woops

Oy..silly Rangers.

You can go to swgcreatures as you said, BUT click on the advanced search (you do NOT have to be a member to do an advanced search). Once there, you can set the filter based on any combination of and stat or characteristic that a critter has, including resource type. The resource type filters are listed right above the 'Adv Search' button, at the bottom of the page (next to the bottom of the planets filter).
