Just before all the announcements about the CU I decided to go ahead and do that Ranger character that hed been calling me. I had to go to another server to do it but what the heck i can make credits as a ranger right? Docs need good resources for buff packs right? CM's use organics for heals right? plus the other professions but the medical professions where the ones that PAID. so my question is what do I do as a broke novice ranger to get the credits I need to play the game, post CU? yes I could make the credits before the CU but my primary character takes up a fair amount of time too.

sell low level grinding furs to novice smiths and artisans. easy to kill, easy to harvest... if you can manage to pick up a firm 50k units of any crud, you could seel that for 2-4cpu and pull out 100-200k. from there, its apple pie.

My strategy has been to find the big crafters, and get myself on their resources e-miling list. I almost always have something worth grinding. Sometimes it is stuff like Naboo insect meat, which is a pain to get, but it pays 100 cpu. Sometimes it is Dath Leathery hide, which is insanely easy to get, and I only get 20 cpu.
As a rule, I usually don't hunts for anything that pays below 40 cpu. There are a few reasons why I would hunt for less though:
- the buyer is a friend/guild mate
- resource that is insanely easy to get in large quantities
- there are no resources spawning that pay more than 40 cpu
How much do I usually make on average you may ask? Well, if the pay/harvest ratio is decent, I can usually make between 1 and 2 million credits per buff session.
Unfortunately, the CU has many people spooked. There is almost no one looking to buy resources now. The only resource that I've gotten a request for earns me an average of 1.5 mil a buff. I consider that to be good, but f it despawns, then there is nothing that I know of that is paying.
After the CU, I hope people will know what they need, then make use of the Asia Brothers site and start ordering resources.

I hate it when people expect us to provide bulk resources for the same quality-related prices as mined stuff. Anyone can drop harvs and walk away for three days; to get that same amount takes us many hours of at-the-keyboard work. If someone else wants to sell for peanuts they can, but my grind starts at 5 to 10 cpu.
