It's probably way too early to be worrying about this but I'm curious what the animal resources market is going to be like after things settle down. Used to be onlycertain products like Dath carnivore meat could be harvested in large quantities but now you can hunt any missionablecreature and get 500+ units per kill @ lvl 80 (actually I'm getting 700+ and got 9k animal bones from one Lok mission).

I'm thinking the days of 100 cpu harvests are over. Heck, probably 10 cpu will be top dollar.

It's way to early to tell but I think that quanitiy will make up for no high cpu. Last night I was pulling 600 units of avian meat per white con kaddu (I'm CL 80). I would think that herbivore meat and almost any hide are going to be in high demand.

At one point in the game, I used to make a lot of money by selling high OQ Avian Meat. Since the CU, is Avian Meat still a valuable comodity? If not, what are the more valuable resources these days, who is buying them, on how much are they paying for them?

Great question...Ive been trying to find this out myself.....Herbivore meat is gonna be the biggest from what I have seen on other threads and Naboo Bristley with good oq and sr since no AS have any post CU and it is now a specific.....

There is a much broader range of things to harvest now, but doubtful anyone will pay the 100cpu prices like the pre CU avian.

Best Ive seen so far on Shadowfire was Lok leathery go for 70 cpu.... (also a specific for AS)

Few resources will make the CPU that Avian meat did pre-CU. However, here is a little example for you. When a good Naboo bristly rolled around last weak, I wend out to gather it for my guilds AS. Got 100k by my self over 3 days on just running a handful of mission off a terminal. (tusk cats, 2k per lair)
Then I joined up with a BH/SL from my guild and together we got another 55k in just a few hours, and he could not get tusk cat missions so we only had mine. I was now getting 4k per lair, he was getting between 1 and 2.

I finished it you with a little hour of hunting by my self, testing some traps and gathered another 10k.

Result 165k of Naboo bristly hides. On my servers trade forum the buy price was listed at 25 cpu, witch would have made 4+ millions credit had I sold it. But since it was for a friend I just gave it away for free

If you can get together with 2 other people and you can all get mission for the pray you hunt, then you should have no problem getting 100k in a nights hunting... each.

What you do not get in CPU now a day can easily be made up for in quantity.

Yeah, you can easily gather massive quantities of resources now. Too bad it's not actually hunting, but rather running back and forth between waypoints and mission terminals. I haven't made a dime post-CU because I gave up resource gathering entirely.

cant speak for the rest but as a chef/Be, Meat (OQ 50%, PE 30%, FL 20%) for food adhesive and Hides (100% OQ) for different food is quite popular post CU. Long time HAM buff food like Teltier Noodles and Kanali Waffers use hide, and those seem too be very popuar post CU. So if you are looking for a profit ask a Artisan (who makes food) a chef or a BE, and most of them will prob need meat and hide. Check out Chef forum for ideas of what food sell best atm and what ingredience they use.

I have been working a bit on Radiant and at 25cpu-40cpu. I make about 3-5mill per day so its not a bad thing. Just be smart and contract only what you made a good profit on.

Try getting paid for tracking krayts. I get 50k a krayt, I just so happened to find 3 ancients and 4 grand krayts at one spot. It was great, a quick 350k for 10 minutes of service.
